The sister gaming quest will give your sister some extra corruption points..
There are a few interaction with her that will also add to that.. (not trying to be obtuse here. I cant remember off the top of my head what they are now.. I think catching her either in the bathroom or coming from it. also catching her late at night I think does too)..

tldr, people don't usually read the comments, or even post, or read spoilered things in the summary.

you've openly stated your not changing most of what people are saying is bad, because you want it "old school puzzle style". that style of gaming isn't done anymore, specifically because it was shit design.

the biggest issues are the literal hours of grind you need to do to get anything done, and the lack of direction. you want sandbox done properly for a porn game? look at games like summertime saga (as shitty as that dev is for milking his payers for literally years with next to no progress). or taffy tales. friends of mine, and my demon friend, are two html games that do semi-open worlds.

overall, you need to have actual guidence of what to do. sandbox games are failures in gaming for a reason, if you don't tell people some of what TO do, they don't know what they CAN do, and they get bored trying to figure it all out.

and boredom is not something you want for a game, let alone a porn game.

This kind of grind is understandable if you're going to grind your MC. The corruption gain ever so slowly to the MC has its magic. But to do every single thing in the game by wasting soo much real time for one character when the game has already like... 50. While most of them don't and won't have much content, its horrid by design. Take Girl Life for example, the QSP gui make it seems like this one but QSP still has it better, more customizable and and has hotkeys, something you should really go for. As for the buttons to +1 This or That shouldn't be necessary if changes are made so.
About quests: Add old/done quests somewhere and store them so if we leave the game by say... three days to a week we remember what we have done without having to go here. Put checkmarks for things that are done.
Example: You need dodgy controller. Put a:
Controller 0/1 > Controller 1/1
Sister Like: 10/30 > Sister Like 35/30
Sister Corruption > 5/10 > Sister Corruption 10/10 at the quest so the player can really get what steps.
We really don't need an walk through mode, just clear objectives that work.
The 'journal' already works pretty good showing where ppl are at the game time, its just that tons of information and descriptions for content already in the game are missing. The game that is being made here, with this very own custom gui, needs more info to compensate the non-intuitive gui, albeit work in progress.
I had to run around the game to understand that the garage that you needed to 'show your strengths' was your home garage not the 'local garage'.
I had my says and will put this on the fridge for a few weeks. Accidental woman is still to this day fixing their own custom gui (that still is based on twine), and I hope for the best.

Thanks, the conversion worked now. I got flirty texts unlocked for 3 characters, just missing the sister - but I still have a questline open for her, so I think that is how it's supposed to be.

I got one issue with the Ur First GF questline though. I had it as far as it went on 0.3, but now it just says this:

That all good to hear.. and oh bugger... so what has happened with the coco quest line is that I moved from classing each step in the date as a step in the quest to calling the date a single step... so in the past when you completed the first date you jumped from step 7 to like 11... but not you just move to step 8... the issue is that as you have an old save and I did not think about that.. its not picked that up and converted it on merging the old save...
These are exactly the sort of bugs I was expecting when implementing the idea of merging old saves..

Im gonna have to think about how to fix this... One option is to maybe allow the user to reset a quest.. I dont know if I like that option as it might bring other issues.. I will have to think this over...

I agree with what you say there totally.. which is why I implemented the idea of quests instead of events (or actually aswell as events).
So the quests are kinda you guide to where the most content is.. while the sandbox style of being able to talk to everyone will give you some other lesser content.. and the events that are not quests are flag posted on the npc profile page.

Where I would disagree to an extent is that I think there is a demand for this style of game, I dont for a second believe its the bigger demand.. but I also do feel that there is plenety of content (good content) out there for people who want something that is not this style.. I dont want to put down any other style of game or belittle it.. but I think it would be easier and I would have an easier life if I just built a visual novel which with in 10 clicks of being introduced to a charector (be its teacher / mother / sister or whomever) they are knickers down bent over and taking it....

For me, one of the ultimate sandbox games is girl life.. That is many many years developed now. but still I would say there are two main issues for me with it (these may not be an issue for others).
They rarely stick to the same actor for a charector.. You take a shower in that, and you could be 1 of 100 different bodies.
I know why they do that (and i know even more so now that I have tried to build something the other way).
But for me I fall out of the illusion of the game a little when random porn is used that just fits the scene.

The second is what you have already highlight where you feel my game is lacking.. and thats direction... unless I have missed something massive about girl life, there is no in game direction to any content. Now I dont mind that to a degree.. But I tend to feel like I have either missed alot of the game, or the game does not have the content it must have at this point of its development (and its a community developing it too)..
This is where I had hoped the quests I was adding was going to help direct the player to some of the content while still giving them a nice suprise when they stubble over an event they didnt know existed..

I would like to think I have included alot of extra features that people have stated as missing from its first release (and thats only 3 versions ago now).. And I have already laid out a plan to help the people who want a more "hand held" approach to the quests with a walk through mode..

I will again think you for taking the time to feedback as I do listen and I do take on board. and I do try to explain..
And I do appreciate your more detailed feedback instead of "the ui is shit" feedback... :)

Firstly I like what you have said about displaying the needed stats in the quest..
You will notice that for some of the quest, I have already put in things like in the coco first gf quest, it stats if you have the flowers or not... So I just need to ramp this up a little more is what you are saying... That is very doable!
Its not an unsimilar request to the blue text I added a version or two ago, to let the user see what affect things they did was having on their stats without having to check the stats screen..

I like the QSP style of panels.. (im sure that is obvious) and its how and why I decided to design the game this way..
I personally hate it when in a game you have to scroll down pages and pages of text and the odd picture to get to the end of that bit... Also I dont like it when the developer puts multiple auto start videos into a long page of text.. and by the time you get to each its half way or more through what its playing... and if its got sound its just a mess..

I thought I had put something to say it was the garage in your backgarden... I will try and add something to make that more clerar.. and I know people have mixed up lunch and dinner too ...

Small tweeks to the gui will come over time.. but my priority for the next release is content..

While you are working on an auotmatic solution I corrected my quest steps manually. And while at it, I found other changes that didn't carry over as well, namely the changes to the job in the local shop. Since all the info is stored in the savegame, I had to manually correct that as well, using the new values for the job, and the opening times of the shop itself.

I think you will have to reevaluate how you store those static values, otherwise keeping savegames compatible over multiple versions will become a pain in the ass.

Ah yes... you know you are right... I am going to have to review the save merge option... In theory certain parts of the data does not need to be transferred in from the old save.. stuff that does not get changed when playing... but this is the exact stuff like the times of the job that if I had used the fresh save it would have been correct, and not written over that with the bits from your old save...
This is why I have said that this version of the loading old saves my be a bit buggy...but its with help from posts like from you. where I can understand what has not worked go about fixing that! :)

Maybe a little nitpicky, but I really dislike this, or at least how it's handled. There's way too many characters to keep track of who you've talked to recently and if it hasn't been 2 hours yet you lose the 15 mins with no relationship gain. Would like to either see this reverted, or be actually unable to talk to somone rather than talking but having no effect. I have a similar issue with the once per day actions but those are at least easier to keep track of.

i wonder about you are aware of the game skipping a day
if you visit sister or parents after 24:00 ?
I think I had spotted something of a glitch before. .as its ringing a bell.. and cant say I recall if I tried to fix it (unlikely as its still there.. and I think I probably can).. or if I mentally noted it, and then instantly forgot it lol..
I will mentally note it again, and try not to instantly forget it :)

that ^^^^^ is the issue with your game as is. it's not "a puzzle", it's quite literally "talk to someone in a location with tens of others, with zero indication of who would be the right person, AND increase your like stat enough to go to their house, and THEN you can get the controller.".

essentially the quest is "where do i find a paperclip", and your "hint" is "not your house". that's not even a hint, that's just taking the piss.

you need to fix things like that. it needs to have at least some indication of the right person.

oh and i think i found a bug, the park handjob quest doesn't track handjobs, it just continues tracking porn watched, and i don't think it counts your progress because of it. either that, or like the above mentioned quest, it just doesn't give you info on what to do after the 15.

when you have this many quests and variables, especially when they have very specific timing and requirements, you can't have it be literally directionless. there needs to be some sort of guidance.

Ok I am listening.. and fair point made... Part of the issue is that possibly I forget that I know which char is into gaming .. and mentions it when you talk to them.. but not everyone knows that..
I am trying to get the balance right between grinding / meaningful leveling and making it too easy..
And on a simular level the difference between a game that basically telling u exactly where to go and when and what to click. and a game thats leaving it up to the player to work some of it out....
I dont doubt for a second that I am still getting balances right..

Hopefully the more early easy low req stats quests will help with the grind part.. and the walk through mode will help with the direction for people who want more of a go here... or for the times when my current hint system is painfully lacking..

I am trying! :)

for the "mentions it when you talk to him", the problem there is it's random what he says. i had his "like" at 20, and was already gaming with him, before he ever mentioned gaming together outside his house.

but yeah, gotta remember that people coming into the game know essentially nothing. no idea what's possible, who is who, or anything like that. and randomized conversations, especially when only one possible thing for them to say, are horrendous ways of giving context, partly because after the first few times they notice that the "talk" option does nothing but give 1 like, they'll start skipping the text.

this problem is compounded by the number of people you have to grind stats for.

and the balance between direction, and sandbox, is really hard to do. some games lean heavily into sandbox, but those usually only really work if the hints you 'do' give, are really good, AND when there is more content.

girl's life, that was brought up earlier, has TONS of content, and gives really good context clues, so skipping dialogue in that will make you entirely miss out on paths. the brother's friend's path is a good example of this. it doesn't give hints, instead it's what the people say that tells you what's available.

i don't really know how to help clear up your system, other than have the hints be more precise, but not point-by-point walkthroughs. the stat requirements, the time, and the location to start quests though, having those be vague at best is really, really bad.

i cant triger the game event with sister .i obtained the doggy controller but nothing happening on the weekend in lounge
cam sis quest i have to follow the fox cosplay quest but there stand undefined

I think you are there a few hours late... If I recall correctly you need to interact with the mother at 5am..
This is one of the things I am looking at giving more of a window.. to help players with..
