Is there a particulare aspect of the UI that you dont like?
I have tried to build something that keeps all the information on the screen without a need for scrolling.
I am going to have a go at allowing the user to choose the background and panel colours for the next release / patch for this one.
Well on the right track. I previously mentioned Awesomium - merely because your UI reminded me of that, so it felt like a good example. I haven't seen your latest release yet but you mention some "polish" done to the hint system and such - meanwhile, the amount of story/scene content added looks impressive. Sounds about right, you got a good UI, that allows you to focus on new content, while putting some time in to polish it once in a while.

This is exactly the kind of game I enjoy playing, and I feel like this site's tags don't let it fully flare its strengths. We need SANDBOX and OPEN-ENDED tags ;) The grind that some complain about is part of the genre... It will feel more natural once more content is added, there will be more stuff to do and different ways to gain points. Sandbox works best the more freedom you have, including alternative paths to the same goals.

Found a bug with the Nursing Nurse Quest, after i talked with the old man in the hospital. It sayed that i needed to talk to her before school, what i did (in the highrise) and right after that also at school (cause the quest didnt trigger for me).
But the same night its now on Step3 with the Text that (i think) is part of GF Quest "Give it a few days and send her a pic of you back".
Meanwhile the GF Quest is still on Step 1. But over the weeks she sended me 2 different pictures of her (the first one twice) and i send her one of mine. Still its on Step 1.

So i would guess that there is some kind of mix in your coding in betweend these 2 Quests?!

Big thanks on spotting this... These are the sort of bugs its really hard to spot sometimes.. And its litterally 1 digit in the code thats going to be wrong.. I will take a look at that today.. and when I bring out a bug fix later it will be sorted..

I was actually quite enjoying this, got a fair few days in, talked to a lot of people and then misclicked save and instead hit create.... and my whole playthorugh is gone. Just like that. This is a massive oversight and needs to be rectified, at least have some kind of "Are you sure" promp or something or the ability to save your game to a seperate location. I have no intention of starting again so despite enjoying the game I guess I'll wait a few releases until I give it another try

I am working on as I write this a small patch update that is going to fix a small few issues.. One of them is the ease of pressing create or load instead of save mid game.. My current working plan is to hide the create and load buttons after the start of the game.. Hide the save option from the preload game bit.. and put a prompt on the create at the start of the game so you cant accidently override an old save from your last session there either.. Hopefully this will address these issue..
Gutted that you lost the progress you had made.. but glad that you were enjoying!

Yo, the struggle is real in this one. The grind is unbearable. With how much it takes to get anybody to do anything, you should get a point every time you talk to them. This one point for every two hours is for the birds. I do appreciate the HINT system though, so thanks for that. I can't say much more at this time as I'm on Day 67 and only just got the sister to start flipping up her dress. Still trying to get the store job. I would suggest upping the daily allowance, $10 at a time takes forever to accumulate even if you're hitting the Gloryhole nightly. Well done on the pic choice. Perhaps allowing the MC to actually choose what to say would increase points from chatting? I'll keep an eye on this one. Good luck, Dev.

Thank you... The grind I really hope is going to get less of a problem as the content becomes more..
So yes.. if you want to go straight to hitting a quest that has a massive corruption level requirement then you are going to have to grind for that.. but if you do some of the lower level quests and events first.. you should find that you naturally become more able to do the harder quests.. (hope that makes sense).

More ways to unlock money are available.. There is like few now.. But some of them do require grind to unlock.

Its trying to get a fair balance between spending a life time to get your sister to flip her skirt.. and riding her to school on day 1..

Thanks on the compliments.. and yes.. giving the MC more options for dialogue will be something am likely to introduce but could be a fair way down the path..

Ok so let me think.. what browser are you using? and are you on windows?

so once you in the game.. you click on the icon at the bottom right looking like a scroll.. it brings up a list of active quests. you click on the name of one of them.. and above that the text description pops up. and the last word should say HINT.. and be kinda dotted underlined. and if you leave the cursor on that.. and a little box should appear with some text saying a hint..

Sorry if that was really spelling it out.. but want to make sure that something obvious is not missing here..

Ok i think it's the browser, I'm using safari (so I'm using mac) and it isn't dotted underlined, while on chrome it is. Is there a way of importing the saving?

There is no way of exporting / importing a save from one browser to another sorry.. I have access to safari on a mac.. I wil have a play around when I got 5 mins to see if i can work out why its not supported..
well im glad to hear you at least were able to find a soluton.. gutted it will mean a start over tho :(

I want to be able to create and engine that can do anything. I was going to do the game in something else but it all just felt to restrictive. But also, I wanted the challenge. In the end this project might fall flat on its face.. but at least I can say I tried.
An engine that can do 'anything' honestly isn't as useful as an engine that can do what you need it to do. What you've got here works exactly like a twine or a quest game. If you're not actually writing game content that goes beyond the bounds of their capabilities, or if an idea here or there won't work but the vast majority of them will, then you're reinventing the wheel to the detriment of your actual product. You're already seeing that you're having to troubleshoot basic issues like saving and loading properly or just getting the window to fit your screen.

If you were shooting for the moon and trying all sorts of innovative things I might say go for it, but for a sandbox porn gif clicker game? Probably better to stick to tried and true engines. Realistic goals and evaluations of your priorities is part of the creative process, too.

I take onboard what you are saying... But Im going to keep shooting for the moon and see where I end up.. :)
I think I have solved the accidently creating a new save over the current one issue.. now.. and the colours.
Some of the other issues I am working on.. but particularly the not being able to export / import saves is something I want by design.. The game is going to be all about the journey and skipping that to get to the desitnation will be disappointing. Its going to be my job going forward however to make the journey as eventfull and interest as possible.. and that I guess is going to be my biggest challenge.
But again I do appriciate you comments, i do want to stress that :)
