I recommend you revisit the definitions on Google for Hotwife/Hothusband and Swinging. And once you are clear with it, apply that logic to this scene.

This right here is exactly why I think Mary not suggesting Fred made sense on vanilla path. On that path they only participate with other couples together and it must be physical only, no emotional attachments. Charlotte and Fred are too close personally, and I could see Mary having concerns about the feelings involved if they were to have sex.

We kept it so on vanilla path, it is just swinging, as a couple. The only exception to this is the neighbors key party game, and that is still considered as a couple, as it is part of the game Vicki set up. And even then, Mary does get a little upset if not on hotwife path, but she agreed to play the game, so she doesn't consider it cheating.
Charlotte fits more in the hotwife/hothusband path, as it is letting Fred play outside of the couples thing.
And no, I haven't played those games. I haven't played any games really in about 3 and half years.
For context, the wife in Babysitters specifically has a cuckquean kink she's discovering and exploring, so it's really an apples vs oranges comparison to vanilla Mary here. There's some similarities in that swinging can be one way to explore that in Babysitters, but they are not the same.
In any case, it makes sense to me how vanilla Mary might be fine with swinging but draw the line at other types of consensual non-monogamy, especially with someone they know closely and could have an emotional connection. That's crossing more into the realm of potential polyamory instead of casual swinging.

After reading this conversation , I see no issue with Fred not sleeping with other women outside of the club / swinging scenes on the vanilla path. Even not sleeping with Charlotte makes sense to me. Now if Mary was CuckQueen I can see it making more sense. But Personally I think on the vanilla path it makes 100% more sense for Fred to comfort Charlotte and be there for her to help without sex.
As others said their relationship is to close to involve sex hell even I thought sleeping with her on the hotwife path felt weird because of it. As Fred should want to be there for her as friend and not get his dick wet lol. oh then I agree if I recall I always decline Fred from sleeping with her on the hotwife path, might of done so once I forget I played through the game with ctrl skip so many times just to see certain parts again or refresh my memory or something from time to time lol

I am too busy making our game. No time to spend playing others games. And ideas are never an issue. You should see the ideas we have that we have to reject due to no place to fit them in, though we are keeping note of them to use in our next games.

Yeah i forget I played Vanilla path once but im pretty sure Rachael is only hotwife as you call Mary asking permission I don't see him doing that on a Vanilla path.

For me Sara is one of the hottest babes in the game I’ll gladly leave Mary for her, but she’s probly too good for Fred anyway. Hope we get more Sara in last chapter or maybe in the new gamei would exchange julia for charlotte if i can lol charlotte 1000 times hotter

Nope Rachel is hotwife or cheating. Not vanilla. I don't remember for sure, but I think Julia was possible on all paths, but Mary isn't a happy camper if you do anything with her on vanilla.
