Having tried the game i honestly think my biggest dislike is the UI. theres just so much deadspace, mindboggling amounts of deadspace. The game ignores widescreen, so theres huge bars on either side of basically nothing, then bars on top and bottom that are also mostly nothing.

As a suggestion;

You dont need to do exactly this or anything, but largely speaking the bottom bar serves no purpose other than wasting space, the navigation buttons can (and really should anyway) be on the top. The top bar could do with some thinning, everything you have there can easily fit in half the space. The contents of the V arrow menu page are really just... really horrible design, and you have tons of space to put all those in the top bar (or, alternatively, the settings menu/gear icon) even after thinning it, it also gives people more direct access. The widget button is cute but is largely a solution to a problem that doesnt exist... or at least isnt self-inflicted. Either have the stats on the (existing) top bar, on a side bar(like most games), or on a dropdown(to keep them out of the way) or keep the widget button but have it pop out the entire stats tab as this is more aesthetically pleasing and more complete than the existing half assed widgets that dont even cover all the stats. And honestly im more than a little deadened inside to things that dont respect widescreen, but holy shit are you wasting alot of aspect ratio, even more than most, so either let your text use the full page (whatever size it is) or put something in the spaces. Stats maybe. Hell id take dev commentary over the void.

*Edit, found the option to put the paperdoll on the right side, that clears up some of the dead space there. Though having it on by default or more clearly labled might help.

**Edit 2: Did a mockup of a topbar that hogs less space.

As you've discovered yourself, going by the edits, a way to fill the empty spaces is already in the game:

Please note that this game is also supposed to be played on mobiles, so placing things in places which may very well not exist for some people is pretty risky idea. Although i agree that the back/forward arrows could be probably moved to the top bar. Then again, some people might actually appreciate the visual symmetry of top and bottom, so i don't think it can be said this change would be universally for the better.

The mobile peasantry doesnt concern me!

Only space optimization.

Every pixel must be used!

I'm kidding, but most games in this category manage to have mobile versions without nesting their menus for the express purpose of wasting more screen space on PC. :p

Feedback for v.0.25:

* The writing is sweet as always. Sort of a comfort food experience for a transgender person, i imagine. It's funny too, Lily is adorable and mom is also lovely.

* Worst gaming moment of 2025: why do you make me pick between gifting a plushie to Lily or mom, when it's made clear that both would love one. Stupid plushie is like 20 USD and i have 200 on me. Just let me spoil them both, for heaven sake, they deserve it ;/

* Mildly frustrating gaming moment of 2025: "Should i introduce you to the sales lady as a boy or a girl?" I really wanted a "I don't know mom, that's exactly what i'm still trying to figure out. And why do you need to announce what i am to the salesgirl, anyway."

* Also a bit irritating (because it happens in nearly every store you visit) but for all the choices you're given, the game doesn't let you decide on the one thing that really matters, which is how Ethan actually feels about the result of his actions. You don't get to pick whether you like your appearance in the new clothes you try on and influence the transgender variable in one way or the other. At this point it's all locked down, and Ethan is automatically either fully onboard or feels it's completely wrong (even when it's wearing things like basic pants and tshirts) based on couple choices in the early game.

* Not getting a transformation from wearing girl clothing seems to be a running gag at this point. Not only can MC willingly try on multiple skirts and dresses with no reaction from the curse, but you can also even wear them in public in a frickin' mall, including full goth battle gear. And a bra you've just shopped for with your mom and sister. And the curse be all like:

Just go home curse, you're drunk. :cautious:

(i'm mostly kidding, it's pretty much "It is what it is" at this stage. Also, to be fair, you do get a transformation if you choose to wear the exact same clothes in your own room afterwards... but in a way, that only makes it sillier, that it wouldn't trigger otherwise)

Also, wow, i got so used to Ethan's previous look, the new appearance will take some time to adjust to.:coffee:

For sure. I feel there needs to be some kind of lore explanation for it because at this point it's just ridiculous and honestly annoying.

I mean it's not like there's any actual rational explanation you can give them otherwise. The magical bullshit is literally what's happening.
Yeah, actual, real-life transitioning generally has less of the "Right, let's start by swapping out my whole plumbing, then play it by ear from there. Maybe slightly daintier hands?"

(Less sarcastically: Of course one could write a path where the MC tries to present themselves to their surroundings as going through "normal", non-magical transitioning. But it would be one more path to add and maintain when the dev has already had to cut down on other complications; as it is, magical bullshit is the name of the game.)

IIRC it's also addressed by one or two characters in the game, who note when questioning what the heck is going on with MC, that transitions and physical changes like that simply don't happen like this overnight with zero side-effects, so they won't believe if MC tries to pass what's happening to him as one.

I really hope we get another chance to buy plushies and go to the store with Samantha and Jessica. I bought so much clothing because "yay, finally I get to dress the way I imagine!" :'D

Yeah, I completely understand the TF points are all over the place. It's dumb, I get it. I've gotten feedback on it several times, and I totally get why you guys are frustrated. It's just that I have to keep the TFs slow, so they can stretch on for a while. I've seen far too many TGTF games that run out of TFs early, and then you're basically playing as a (slutty) cis woman. I get it's dumb, I get it's frustrating, but I hope you understand.

And yeah, you make a very good point. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised that you're making such good points. Are we sure we're on f95? I'll definitely add more points in the future where you can influence your trans and acceptance stat. I've already implemented your suggestion of raising the dream TG stat bump from 10 -> 15.

As for sex, yeah I'm sure a lot of you guys on F95Zone are not happy with the meager amount of sexual content in this game. Sex CGs are still in progress though. It's a slow burn, yes, but there will be sexual content. (I had to get a new artist because one dropped out on me. The future CGs will be in the style of the Jordan. The jessica sex CGs will also be redone in the new style (after he finishes with the rest of the ROs.)

Yup, i totally get it on principle. Although i think in this particular case, it wouldn't really be a big deal, in the sense that all those listed cases combined mean only a single transformation (because they're all tied to Ethan putting on a dress) So it could be triggered first time it happens and that's it, subsequent times Ethan puts one on are all "nothing new here" and no transformation. So it wouldn't really affect things noticeably imo, while it'd nip in the bud the apparent silliness.

Also, i wouldn't worry about running out of TFs, yet -- admittedly, i have avoided a couple early opportunities in my play through, but even so, IIRC at the end of 0.25 my Ethan would still need some 10-12 more transformations simply to get the whole body shifted from masculine to just androgynous, never mind reaching the "obv. feminine" stage. So you have plenty of wiggle room there.

And yeah, you make a very good point. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised that you're making such good points. Are we sure we're on f95?
Now now, even members here have their moments of post-nut clarity. Maybe even especially here. :sneaky:

(i kid, of course. Sorry about that)

You can have sex with Jessica? I apparently haven't been keeping up with this game as well as I thought. Unless that's supposed to be for a future event or something?

This is obviously not the model you've gone with in this game, but you can also create the same effect by adding dozens of transformations but making each one much less impactful.
It's a slow burn, yes, but there will be sexual content.
I know what site this is, but I'm honestly not playing this for the sex.

Don't really care about the sex stuff haha. But I'm very excited for more clothing and as I mentioned previously, hopes more shopping will happen with other characters. :'D Sad I will have to backtrack and skip some of the clothing if I want plushies for the family. This is a great game and you are doing a good job Amaty.
