VN - Ren'Py - A Mother's Love [Part 1-13 Plus] [OrbOrigin]

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is Part 1 - 3 Plus...

At first I was a bit apprehensive about this one, but it quickly grew on me...

The visuals of the characters are good, and they all look unique... The backdrops look decent and also appear mostly unique... The inclusion of the random texts from viewers during the webcam scenes were a nice touch, even though I don't watch those sorts of things, ever... There are a few short animations now and then...

The script was, for the most part, really good, with only the occasional spelling/grammar mistakes, and tiny amount of broken English... The plot revolves around a male protagonist who, at first lusts after his girlfriends mother, but in the long term (depending on choices) it begins to turn into a romance... All while also balancing out his other relationships with his girlfriend, and a long time female friend... It starts off as blackmail, with the mother, but slowly turns into much more...

There is a form of NTR with the husband of the main love interest... He is a scum bag husband who treats his wife like a typical sexist male pig... Sorry, was I overly angry about that jerk? But he's not really that much in the way of the protagonist... I never experienced him cock blocking anytime during the story, and only near the end does he treat the protagonist sorta badly, with regards to his daughters relationship with the protagonist... He's more there as a reminder of why the mother character needs to feel loved, feel sexy, and be properly cared for, by someone else... I was apprehensive about the inclusion of NTR at all in this one, but it turns out he doesn't really get in the way of much and doesn't stop the protagonist from doing what he wants, really... The tags for this game says avoidable NTR, and I guess my choices avoided it, because I never even came close to experiencing it... He was so totally un-interested in having sex with his own wife, even when she tried, so for me, there was no NTR, for my playthrough... But from what I've read, there is NTR with the school teacher and his girlfriend, once again, depending on the choices you make... I apparently avoided it entirely, thank goodness...

The female friend is a probably the only real moment where I sort of questioned if I was truly going to enjoy this VN/Game or not... Because there is an introduction of mind reading with that character... Which took, what was already bordering reality, into definitely beyond reality... You eventually begin to learn more about her, and actually I was kind of wishing she would become a love interest for the protagonist, but they became more like really good friends, with a common interest, and some side benefits... Of course that depends on your choices, hehe...

I really feel torn by this whole VN/Game, as I want to root for all 3 primary female characters in this one... The girl friend is the kind of girlfriend we all want to have, kind, caring, nice, attentive, loving, supportive, and willing to go the extra step to help keep the relationship alive... I kind of feel a bit sorry for her sometimes, because the primary premise of this VN/Game is her mother, and not her... And although the female friend starts off as a pushy character, who more or less slightly blackmails the protagonist into getting what she needs and wants, she actually turns out to be a kindred spirit for the protagonist... Having the same interest as he does... I actually began to care for her happiness as well... Man, why do stories like these have to get my romantic bug all fluttery and in a twist? I wanted the best for all 3 women... That just goes to show you how well the story was told... To grip at your heartstrings now and then... I'm just a sucker for romance stories...

There is quite a lot of content in this VN/Game... A lot more then I expected... Here I figured I was just reading/playing 3 parts of the beginning of a VN/Game, when it ended up taking me practically all afternoon and evening to read and enjoy, the current content...

Overall, this VN/Game starts off a bit fishy, but gets better and better as you go along... And there are times, when those choices completely matter on how the story plays out, so be aware that being forceful and hyper focusing on only one character, might not always be the right way to go... Depending on your tastes of course... The writing, even though it had some mistakes now and then, told the story well... I enjoyed the dialogue and character interactions... I like how you start off feeling one way about a character, and seeing how over time that feeling can develop into something different... As this is only parts 1 through 3, it is most likely still under development... Will I revisit this one? Definitely... But only when large chunks of content get added, because I hate reading/playing the good VN/Games in smaller piece mail releases... I look forward to seeing how this one continues to develop...

Dam. How long has it been since a good game came along like this. Not only is it appeasing with all the sexual content. but the story line makes it even more engaging and really puts you into the perspective of the MC. The mother is flat out gorgeous and has that cold shoulder which you can't help but want to break down and get to know her.

Why is it the forbidden fruit that looks tastiest?

- You are lusting for a woman around the age of your mother.
- She's your girlfriend's mother.
- She's (apparently) a happily married woman.
- You are blackmailing her - taking advantage of the mother while you're dating her daughter.
- You're corrupting her, as she slowly gives in (and eventually so do you).

All the wrongness of the situation makes it all so erotic and sexy. Well, it may not be the most realistic telling of such a story - but, then, it is supposed to be a porn game after all and not an adult novel. Yet it gets the setting and the story elements perfectly right. Even in the absence of stronger forms of Taboo like incest, this game succeeds in creating an amazing "forbidden desire" situation.

Apart from the holistic evaluation above, other elements of the game like renders, story, and characters are quite standard. Erotic scenes are well designed and very sexy.

5/5 for this game, because it achieves what it set out to do.

This game is excellent! Great story, and the game look really nice. I really did not expect anything great at all from this game, so I am happily surprised. You really fnd yourself maybe wanting the MC to get it with one or two, or more of the female companions. The fact that you care how it gos for the mc just points to that this game is awesome sauce.

This is a very good game overall. A 9/10 for me.
The story is intriguing and the build up of the sexual tension between you and the milf is handled really well.
Female character models are diverse and feel unique, not copy pasted.
The milf in particular looks great,(even though i'm usually more into younger women) and she manages to come off not only as beautiful, but actually charming(which is more rare) also thanks to the good writing.
Another positive aspect is the choices you are given, that are actually meaningful, making this game suitable for multiple playthrough.

It would probably deserve a full 5 star, if it wasn't for one major flaw that bothers me beyond believe...and that is the lack of a way of dismissing your annoying girlfriend entirely, even after you witness her cheating on you like a total slut.
I have no issues with NTR itself, but i don't understand why the MC has to be so polite and pc about it and in dealing with the gf in general.
Why is there no option to get a meaningful revenge on her and the old fart who's not only fucking her behind your back, but also enjoys insulting and making fun of you while he's doing it?
Why can't i avoid the feeling of being humiliated on multiple occasions, without being given at least a choice to say "fuck you bitch" once and for all, instead i find myself forced to say stupid spineless shit like; "It's not your fault; this months with you have been amazing, you are a good girl" and bullshit like that??
This is also an inconsistency if you consider the general attitude of MC, who is far from being a beta cuck and shows on many instances to have a dominant, no-bullshit personality, like in the way he deals with the Mother in law for example.

Anyways, let me say that developers like this one deserve more praises than critiques.
And please, if you hate NTR don't bother playing this game and come back giving it a negative review.
That is not fair guys, i too would like some genre to disappear from the face of the earth (i'm talking to you Furry lovers), but i find the idea of giving them one star a bit unecessary...and quite stupid frankly.
Just move on and ignore it....i mean ignore it only if you really really hate NTR, but to all others i strongly reccomend to play it...definitely worth your time.

This is fastly becoming one of my favorite games. The renders are simply fantastic and the storyline is intriguing. Just when I thought I knew where the developer was going with the storyline, he throws a curveball which is a nice touch. I highly recommend you give this game a try if you Love a visual novel with a good storyline.

conclussion: the stronger point in this game is in the choices you made, their matter, and they are not just to "change the point of view"
the second strong point of this game is the "plot-twist" on the first dinner...(what a deal!).
if a have to say something bad about the game, is that all characters looks like vampires, and like many games like this (where you can get differents scenes) needs a gallery or something like that.

this game deserve your time and money.

Reviews as of Part 2:

Huh I did not expect that. I was just casually browsing for something different/new to try and came over this game, some of the screenshots and comments/reviews made me not really want to try it out. Glad I did.

Instead of using an awful amount of time setting up the story, the game kind of just throws you right into it and explains the story along the way. This usually leads to a game feeling rushed but it works beautifully here. The same goes for the naughty scenes, while the build up is a lot longer so does it not overstay its welcome as the developer adds something new or twists to each scene. The renders look good and is not like somebody else have said honeyselect models, if they are then I want that game. Especially the mother model looks her age.

The game has a lot of choices that can lead you in two directions of either building a caring and loving relationship with the mother or blackmailing her into becoming your slave, there might be more paths but I haven't played that much around with it.

I highly recommend this game and I will be keeping an eye out for the next release.

Review based on version [Part 2]

Great VN, a very good welcome addition to the popular games or at least soon to be popular. Plot is the usual porn games, with mixed of blackmail, consent & forced sex. But not beyond insanity, more exploit the passion and the lust. A little bit peculiar with a character who had ability as mind reader, that character definitely became a wild card for the plot.

Render okay, story okay, writing okay, model okay, posing okay ... what more do you want ? ... download and play it, if the genre suit yours. I rate this 4,5/5 Stars. Missing perfect score because there's a negative design that I'll explain below.

The only negative I have for this games is, choice matters ... not in critical way, but how much scene you can get. My first playthrough, I missed around 10~20% of the whole content. I still didn't find the answer if that because choosing another way or because if you're not answer perfectly, you don't get all the fun. Personally, I hate this design, other might not and love to replay over & over again until they got all the scene. This is not my style. If Developer do want people like me to missed a portion of their content, which consume time to coding, writing & rendering ... then up to them ... I don't have time to replay porn games just to get the best outcome. Only if save broken due to update, I compromise to play from beginning.

A fun story so far(as of Part 2) with a good mix of beautiful ladies, and sexy scenes. Nicole, the title character is incredibly beautiful and a huge part of the story so far. A surprising amount of content for just two updates. And it doesn't leave you blue-balled either. Great stuff.

I wish we can give half stars because I wanted to give a 4.5, but it's honestly a good game with a good story and so I feel 5 is ok, especially since the only reason I was going to take that half point off was because the lack of a walkthrough. In a game where it seems like all your answers matter and you can really choose how you want the storyline to progress, a walkthrough is really needed. But at the same time, the amount of control over the story is what makes it great. It's also very well written, and the animations for the most part is very good. It also drops little informations/scenes here and there that makes the whole thing very suspenseful and makes you want to keep playing to know what happens next.

Shame that she does not look like her mother even a tiny bit, it would be more kinky what we can do in this game.. asian could be cousin or whoever else. Shame that she is not caucasian.. thats the only real issue I have to this game. So far its great.

In this version we will get an answer if husband of our victim has low sex drive, is gay or has a lover. He is a weird character that would fit into a role of a mad scientist.. or something similar. I personally would not trust him with house prices.. whatever his work really is.

Daughter is cute, but not in my taste. I would with more interest eat both mother and our weird gamer girl friend of ours. Not asian chick.

What did I say? This story got only better with time. I am actually amazed at how complex it got and how really bad and twisted the husband is. How our protag seem like knight in shining armor compared to the husbands? As there are more than one damsel in distress in this story. We are barely at 12 update yet the story is more complex than most games on this site. We have feelings, lust, guilt, sociopath of a husband, motherly wife, supernatural mind reader of a friend, conspiracy, prostitution, blackmail, rape.. and a teen in love with a milf that wants to unravel all of it and rescue and help other girls. At this point in this game I wouldn't be surprised if there was a plot line in which we learn that our Mc is son of his adversary. It wouldn't surprise me at this moment. For an erotic game about shagging milf and stealing someone's wife. It got way more complex than it at first appeared. Simply marvelous story. Graphically this game isn't up to standard with top tier games but it is superb in plot building and showing emotions of characters. At least few of them. I played it a year ago or so. So when I seen that there was an update I played it all again and I wasn't dissapointed.

Good game, I liked the concept itself and the pictures in this game, in my opinion the girl who plays the bailiff is superfluous, you could think of something else, and the image is very beautiful, I’m waiting for part 2

Fantastic start! Tons of content for the first release. Most of the renders are top notch, although there are a few that stand out as needed to be fixed. Great MILF action without the normal incest you generally see in games these days, and a very nice element of corruption. The only thing about the game that I didn't like are the two side characters. Your girlfriend is pretty ugly in my opinion, and the weird friend is kinda average. But I think this helps to make Nichole stand out and not leave people wanting the other characters more.

First of all its a nice begin, i had fun playing this game.

+Models are nice, i really like the designs
+focus is on the milf(really my thing) and the psychic (who also has nice assets)
+the global story is fun (conquering the milf)

-the way the relationship with the mother has taken form ( i dont like that she has to despise the mc)
-the sort of choices ( i mean you could ve taken a grand and a house in which you can claim the mother for yourself; yet that choice leads to a game over. Really? You ve to force her in to the forced sexual realationship)

Conclusion: overall a nice game. It has nice scenes and much potential. Really hope future updates will soften up the mother(nicole). Anyways keep up the good work !!

Very large amount of content for a first episode. Decent story with nice renders. Progression is straightforward and understandable. Some weird english here and there but it's not to bothersome. Looking forward to future updates on this one.
