Now, (v11) he's playing fully into his kink.
Orb hasn't kept away from ntr. And based on what I'm afraid of, are we going to have a stretch of unavoidable ntr that some might argue is not really ntr as John is Nicole's husband?

The Dev had a death in the family if I remember correctly, and he has all but said there will be no future updates anytime soon (as in this year). TBH, abandoned would fit better than on hold...but the Dev left a microscopic chance that he might pick up the game again and continue, so here we are.
The MC is way over his head and out of his depth trying to go up against John...John sleeps his way to victory playing 3D chess while the MC is trying to understand how to play checkers. Maybe that's the real reason for the break, the Dev did too good of a job with the antagonist. The MC can work his way into Nicole's panties, but anything involving the MC getting the better of John being believable is a monumental task at this point in the story.
Unfortunately, the death has apparently lead to legal issues with the inheritance. Yeah that never happens in families.
You are likely correct in the base idea that this may have been our last hurrah for the game. The RL issue may be more the problem, but the MC vice John solo is definitely a hard nut to crack. The thought I have is that MC will build a group, a group of those that all want to take John down, that has enough knowledge, especially insider knowledge, that they can break John. Where John goes around controlling and demeaning the MC has gone about earning trust, almost friendships. This is the only way I see he can compete 'many v one'. If he can get some of the documentary evidence of John's blackmails then there would be an opportunity for the police to act. And everyone knows there are plenty of DA's looking to put a huge corruption buster feather in their hat when running for office. There may be other ways that is just one.

It's a real shame, but I hope Orb gets better, can successfully resolve his lawsuit, and returns to continue Nicole Heavens's story.
I do feel for the dev. But I'm a flawed being.
I care more about what actually involves me. And I do agree with you. The mc was unable to physically handle Beemans, even though I can think of two ways to change that. Then he was outgunned. Then, like you said, John plays the world easy.
As of right now, based on Nicole's current character, there is an unavoidable ntr event and likely arc coming up based on the currently world build for AMsL. The antagonists were given too much, probably as this game is not shying away from ntr which leads to the impossible odds for an MC. . . Like in another game called area 69
I played a lot of games but by far a mother's love is my fav game so when I was thinking why the update isn't coming then I saw the news from dev & I honestly feel so bad for him.I hope everything sorts out at the end.Lol this may sound weird but I got so attached with Nicole & damn the story is so great that it feels like ur not playing the game u r witnessing it. My blessing goes to the dev so that he can return & finish this game.I know this may sound selfish but I think this is one of the game that can not be remained unfinished.I need to see the ending what will happen between mc & Nicole.lots of love for u dev for making this Wonderful game
Does anyone know the average life expectancy of a porn game Dev? Betweeen sickness, family troubles, and now inheritance issues, their time between developing a game and dying can't be very long. It's troubling.
I work, live, and function around a lot of people, and their lives seem fine (for the most part). Since I've been visiting this site, I've seen dozens of Devs fall to sickness and other serious family or personal issues.

Most cases, I believe it's excuses that people come up with for laziness, just make something up that people would be hard pressed to argue with. It's a perfect excuse to string patreons along for as long as possible, and anyone that calls it out get shamed by the naive mob.
This Dev shut off donations the moment he knew he couldn't continue, so his plight is very likely true. It's the Dev's that try to claim Covid or whatever excuse of the month to keep people from complaining too much about taking 6 months for an update that make my skin crawl.
Actually now that I think about it, there is one thing that should be able to turn almost everything around and change both John and Beeman's game. Though I don't see how this will prevent the Nicole ntr.
Malcolm's return from MIA. He should be able to handle Beeman, and he would probably go after John with a VENGEANCE. Now that's only if
Maybe, but the way John carries on, he has dealt with Malcom in such a way that he has no worries about his return...or if he does return, Malcom would be crippled in a way that makes him a non-threat. I've also wondered about the MC combining forces with John's victims, but John completely breaks his victims, or holds something over them that makes retribution not worthwhile. The comment about DA's is a possibility as well, but I don't see someone like John not having the DA's that count already in his pocket. People like John don't get that brazen, at that high of a level in society without assurances that his bases are covered if something doesn't go according to plan.
Beeman is a non-issue to me because I wouldn't let the fat fuck have her, but to those that did, who cares...you dropped her, he just stepped in and gave her what she obviously craves.
