What do you mean by that exactly? How do you plan to make something different from what we've seen on this website? I do applaud the notion of that and not monetizing your patreon. But unavoidable ntr, koikatsu renders, 0.1 version with barely any content doesn't really seem that different.
Just that a lot of newer releases aren't really in my tastes or preferences, for whatever reason or another. So instead of complaining about it, I'm trying development out myself. I'm not setting out to make anything revolutionary, this is a beginner's/learners project afterall, so a lot of crossover in this genre is to be expected as that's my inspiration.
I'm just looking to make something that I personally enjoy and maybe others will enjoy also.

Question: Is (or will there be) an option to disable that.. how do you call it? Emoji-Textspeach? It really annoyed/distracted me if every 2nd sentence ends with anything like ^.^ or
Afterall, looking to further updates and how the story will unfold.
I'll try to do a complete dialog pass for 0.2 and remove them, along with other grammar edits. Enough people have brought it up that I can take it out. I didn't feel any way one way or the other about them.

Hmm. That is very strange! This is the first time I've seen someone mention this. Do any of the other animations work? Or does the game completely crash when you get that error? My understanding though is if you have older hardware/mobile or something sometimes WEBM format can be incompatible. Can you try and play any other WEBM file type videos? My files are unencrypted, try to play a video from the root file and see. If the video doesn't play straight from the root file it may be on your side unfortunately, if it does i'll investigate further.
A New Semester 0.1\movies is where you will find the other videos.

I have relativley new hardware 13'n gen core i5 rtx4070 video and 32gigs of ddr5 ram on asus tuf gaming motherboard runniong win10. About webm video, everything plays well and thre's no issue with other rpgm games whitch i playing a lot. So this is the first time for me too. I've read somwhere that this is some kind of the "acess rights" issue tried run the game as admin but without results. Will try it on another machine. But i have a problem converting generated webm videos from comfyUI. Only ffmpeg can do that for me. Maybe this is somehow related. But again, anoder rpgm games with webm cutscenes worck just fine. Such a big mystery here.

Thank you! Finishing up the art revamp today, then back on content creation.
0.2 will be a fundamental shift in how the game looks and plays. It's a soft remake almost at this point. Everything from 0.1 will still be there, that hasn't changed aside from updated visuals, dialog and touched up renders. After the "1st day" which is 0.1, the game will open up.
Right now I'm just deciding how far I want to take it before releasing a stable build for you all to play for yourself, which looks to be mid-ish September if everything stays on track.
Hey there, I'll try my best to look into compression version for 0.2! Renders and animations add up fast haha I'll have to keep that in mind going forward. Right now I'm fully focused on the 0.2 release, and it won't be to much longer, so it may be better to wait for that if download cap/speeds are limited. Unless someone in the community compresses it for you themselves.

You should try what you can to reduce file size in the normal version too. Often images and videos can be dramatically reduced in size with no apparent loss of quality, it's not just a matter of compressing the zip/rar file at the end. Optimized asset sizes is a really underrated feature of some games.
