Yeah, that does happen as well. Dev gets ambitious and then gets overwhelmed. We shall see.

Dev had put up a message in the discord a while back that 2nd week of August is the time range they plan to release. I say we just wait and see how it turns out to be. At least dev promised that the renders are going to be a banger. Hopefully the time taken will be worth it. But yes the multiple paths are the main reason why I think things got delayed. Maybe dev should have stuck to less paths no matter what people demand.

sadly no. And what's so frustrating is that their wording : "within the second week of august" is a bit debatable of when that is...given that the 1 of august was on friday ....
Anyways, I cant wait for this update. I really love this game and its the only one i support with 15 bucks per month..

"The Babysitter" did that. Was terrible to watch as the writing team tore itself apart trying to get the story threads back together.

I agree that this issue could be hard for a dev as the story starts to progress and go into different directions. I hope that the extra time spend between the updates is due to an attempt to avoid such a fail...
I am sorry but I am just gonna say it. A phone chatting VN with minimal 30-50 renders per update should not be taking 3 months... It just shouldn't. I don't know what makes it acceptable. We all know whats gonna happen and the dev knows what we want to happen. It's just the how. And the how happens in text in this game unlike non chat phone games. You only have to render the lewd scenes. And that too only images not animations. DPC used to give an episode that was like 2k renders in 2 months when he started BAD. This ain't that deep. It's just a convoluted ploy to drain as much as you can from the audience. Yeah yeah, I know I am in a piracy site complaining about a free game. Except, it's just a failed promise anyway. Remember people, asking questions is never the wrong thing! I maybe a hypocrite but I am still asking the right questions. What did this game havw for the last two updates for it to pivot to a 2 month release schedule. The shift to a different engine is understandable the first one. But then it happened and now it's happening again. Maybe I have no right to ask, yes. But atleast paying patrons see this and rethink for a minute"yeah, actually why?" And ask the right questions to the developer. Peace ✌

Yes, it is very difficult to write NTR story where the best friend slowly warms up to your girl that he was jealous of because you were too controlling, or the one where she is star-struck & seduced by a veteran actor built like a fridge.
Nope. Those stories don't write themselves at all, you're right...
Worst part is not the length between updates. Many games have even longer periods between updates but people still enjoy them. Why? Because the dev give regular updates which is exactly what is missing here. Even when undergoing writer block the dev should be giving progress reports to reassure us or atleast communicate with us.

Why didn't he temporarily suspend his patreon pledges accompanied by an official announcement ,so his patrons would know what to expect and not feel like their money is wasted?

In most countries this would not lead to getting fired (In the US you would ofc get fired for WAY less). But...most writers dont work normal jobs and they very very often have long stints of unproductivity for various reasons. One could argue that it would be good with weekly updates on progress etc, but I know firsthand that reporting can take alot of effort and actually be a factor for added stress. Exactly what i said as well. Us and the developer both know what's coming ahead. It's just making up some sexting and lewd renders.
And my problem with longer updates is not that it can happen because you are struck but when it happens or how you communicate it. Like you don't go making promises of delivering in a schedule but then prolong it to twice and now three times... You can see the drop in patrons as well. I think personally the dev knows it's curtains because what the friend has sucked her tits and the black dude has got naked with her. Realistically we are like 3 sex acts away. A fellatio, a cunnilingus and a penetration. That is 3 updates. The multiple paths is just a ploy that alternative updates for routes means the 3 meaningful updates get twice the time taken meaning more *cash*...
The developer understands that these texting games don't have long lives. And with cuckold, there is realistically no need at all for longer writing in buildup...
I was a huge fan of this, cause I like cheating games and when I found this, I really liked it. But then these developers and their shitty ass "reasons of why I deserve to rip you off this month" in a patreon post at the end of the month, which ironically is lapped up by a few people even in here, the less gullible ones compared to the patrons makes me think, he knows the game he is playing. Let's be real, these hobbies are no passion projects they deserve funding. It's rather a show of appreciation and gratitude for the developer sake. But then when developers understand 500 dollars, which is scoffed at by so many people in this avn space I don't know why because it's good. It's a ps5 if you think about it? So yeah even just a year where you drag it out to a 2 month schedule could mean you can build a absolute terrific pc. Even a 5090. Whatever, I don't know. Rant over.
