I'm glad this was helpful! That seems to have worked. So I think my issue when playing without a guide was the fact that I didn't anticipate how much the initial portion before you ever enter the tavern sets things up. As well, I usually drink a few times before starting to grope Natacha, including the one time I had won the arm wrestling but ended up losing the bar fight.
Is there any major variations in the epilogue 10 years later? It feels like that portion is always the same, minor dialogue changes aside.
The beginning only really matters inasmuch as it will decide whether you win or lose Natacha's challenge. If you ignore her or just start chatting, it's not that important.
As for drinking at the end, yes it's bad. Not when you're doing it for the first time, but if you continue despite the warnings, you will indeed lose.
Regarding the epilogue. No, it is always the same, except, as always, for some minor variations.
I'm sorry that your experience was not an enjoyable one. I can see how the game might suggest a swinging thing; but yes, it's just not that kind of experience. As for the slitting of the urchin's throat, offering such an option would be most unbecoming. This is a proper house, we don't provide such objectionable violence. Thanks, that would have helped.
Would, and not will, cause I don't think I will try it again.
The main problem is that there isn't any save option !
To try something different, you have to remake the whole game. Everytime.
And without any walkthrough, well... It's not "difficult", it's almost impossible to get the good choices.
Why impossible ? Cause the mood of the situation, the great humour, the flirting, clearly in swinging kind of goal, everything leads to choose "funny answers". And what you explain here tends to promote quite the opposite : you have to answer like you were some kind of dork-alpha morron, to have a chance to "win" the game.
The ambiance on one side, and how you have to act to "win", they both in opposite ways.
From what I saw in my only try.
Ok, you say that loosing can be more interesting then winning.
I really live that kind of spirit !
Except that when you see what you endure if you don't win, well... Sorry, but its 's a big NO.
I thought that it could be some kind of swinging story, but it seems it isn't. Funny discussion, good mood, I nuy a drink, funny prank... But in the end, acting like that, the "reward" is that my girlfriend is brutally raped by that man (she's obviously not consentant).
Which IMO totally ruins the funny and sexy mood of the whole situation
I was like "whaaat ?? Did I misunderstood the whole thing from the beginning ??"
I probably didn't make the "good" choices, ok ; but I don't play funny games to feel at the end the urge to kill someone. There was no warning on that risk. There wasn't the only possible choice : take my blade and slace the throat of that asshole before he goes away with my girlfriend.
But no : the MC just doesn't care, as long as he can chat a few minutes with the other girl.
Sorry, but no.
This whole "rape doom" was a huge disappointment in the end.
Very sad, cause this game was really different !
