You asking for "better descriptions" is asking for someone to provide something they don't actually know. Anything you see in extras is usually done by forum members. If they don't tell you what it does, that's on them.

They are uploading/posting something, so they are supposed to know what they are doing. From what I see Forum Members don't have access to most of the things. Most of them are like "Hey I found something, here you go", but again... the admins have the power.

The kind people posting the content for you are doing the best they can, and I'm pretty sure they are not paid and it's not a job.

I'm not expecting f95 to be the next STEAM, but the fact is that most of the games can have AN UPDATE PATCH so we don't have to download gigabyes of data for the new version.

You're trying to make all this harder than it is. Take a deep breath. Most of the time there is only one version of the game you want to download from here. Just download it. That's all you really need to know.

-- "Latest version" <--- means newest version
-- "Reworked/remastered version" <--- means newest version
-- "STEAM version" <--- means the available download version is the one from Steam -- if there are more than one version of the game available for download here at F95, you can ask in the thread what the differences are but most of the time it is still the only version available for download from this site
-- "Patch" <--- usually is titled for what the patch does, and/or the link goes to the exact post which says what it does.
-- " BUGFIX Patch" <--- Do you know what BUGFIX is, after 7 years of being on this site? There are BUGS in the current version of the game and instead of someone having to download a full-sized fixed version, people can simply download the much smaller patch and apply it to their already downloaded version
-- " Compressed version" <--- again, straightforward - it's the game, but with images, video, audio, etc compressed to make the game size smaller with minimal sacrifice to visual/audio quality. this is no longer listed in the first post of the thread, but posted by the volunteer compressors within the thread.
-- And then we have different version of the same game "BRIGHT LORD" with stupid fucking version numbers and nobody knows the difference unless they download the game. <-- and we've gone over this, and the version numbers make complete sense.

Everything you're complaining about in your first post is very straightforward... if English isn't your first language and that is causing you problems with translation --- then just say it.

I think there are only two really active uploaders, the rest just do it whenever. Mods/admins aren't supposed to be the ones posting things, and they really wouldn't have the time to with how many tickets they have to go through. So it's unrealistic to expect them to play every game update, with every provided patch. Which is what they would have to do as some devs think render and word count is enough of a changelog, and unofficial patches are hit more miss whether they tell you if it works for the current game version.

I think a lot of the people developing these games are not making update patch technology. Just reuploading the whole mess.

Not to mention I can't imagine how many virus detectors indie patchers would trigger if they tried to go that route.

Ok fuckface... Where is the separation between "latest version" -- "reworked version" when there is no description and you don't know the difference unless you search the forum.

That was the meaning of my whole post.

You're overthinking all this.

• Is this a game you like?
  • If yes, is there an update?
    • Is there a new version (whether it is called latest, reworked, or whatever?)?
      • If yes, rejoice and download to play
      • If no, wait for further updates
    • If no, does the newest version state it simply is only bugfixes?
      • If yes, then don't expect any new or reworked content
      • If no, then you should expect new or reworked content
    • Is it simply a patch?
      • If yes, read what the patch does by following the link and deciding whether you want to patch or wait until next version
      • If no, then it's probably not an update just some kind of developer's status post
  • If no, it's not a game you like - move on, nothing to see here.

Your questions, your problems, your personal issues with this - I would be less suspect if you were a new person on the scene and haven't had any experience with video games or you are a new account on F95... but you've been here for 7 years. By now, all of this should be obvious and old hat.

All this for a game that goes 1.2 -> 1.3 -> 1.5 -> 1.13
