Its not great but it isnt that bad either, what are you having difficulties doing?
The notice specifically mentions and links to payment processor policies at the bottom so I think it's a very safe bet that this is a similar issue to that on Steam and other platforms. The notice is below for reference for anybody that hasn't seen it:

What feminist group? I can’t say I’ve known feminists to be particularly puritanical or sex negative.
Some handjobs, blowjobs, groping, and spying. Someone correct me if I missed anything. The art on the itchio page before it got taken down showed her grinding on his arm in the bath, so I assume that’s coming in the next update.

Oh god, it’s collective shout. They’re not feminists. They’re far right, evangelical, and anti-queer. They think pornography is a plot by the Jews to make people trans and decrease white birth rates or some shit. They just put on a veneer of feminism for the sake of legitimacy.

yea my bad, their ideals are somewhat according to feminism, in the sense of protecting women, but they are more of an activist gorup.

This sucks i might actually buy the game off patron because i want it to be finished.
I would probably avoid that for now - if it's payment processors pushing for it then Patreon might just be behind the curve on implementing a purge.
In regard to Collective Shout, and the other activist groups that have been pushing for this, I think they may have overstepped here and it will prove to be a pyrrhic victory. Pornhub didn't spur much of a response as they were hosting genuinely illegal content, which they were bad at removing, and nobody wants to defend that. DLSite happened quite quietly given the small userbase. Hitting Steam and now Itch, for entirely legal content no less, is something else entirely.
There are already petitions to start addressing this, for whatever that is worth, the ACLU have one

that would prohibit this kind of payment processor moderation. It was only introduced in April and the US legislature is currently a shit show so might take a while to go through (or might fail entirely) but this recent action was pretty well timed to increase support for it.
