They really need a smart database programmer and a realist making decisions.The database programmer can maintain an email list that they can then mass mail updates to.
And the realist can tell them maintaining 6 different versions of the game is stupid. You just need a censored and uncensored version at most. Having several slightly less censored versions per platform isn't worth every platform.
And a monthly update cycle isn't bad if you stop trying to make every update a banger. Just put in what you've finished at like week 3 at the latest, and use the final week to make sure it's not horrendously buggy.
Their problem is they're too optimistically greedy. They want to be able to deliver the best possible update every update and they're on the brink of burnout for a indie game for it.

I say I'll wait for the “golden update” because I assume it will include the rest of the content that leads you to get the girl, But from what I've read, for now, this is a waste of time.

I imagine it's true, but also doubly why he can't release the seggs update early. People knew the rpg part of the game is kinda meh like near immediately and it doesn't seem to have changed. The best part of the game is the animation, and most of the game isn't animated.
