Everyone knows piracy is rampant, but announcing it is pure retardation and is something that shouldn't be announced unless the creator is truly awful to their player base. It's like a smug teenager who's proud of himself that he's getting free porn on the internet like it's some kind of novelty. Announcing it not only demotivates the creator that may affect the quality, but it also affects those who are eagerly waiting for it to be released because some mouth breather cannot keep it to himself.
I think it was in reaction to that guy asking for piracy protection.
But is still stupid. But i get where he come from. Last thing we need is indie/patreon hentai devs with denuvo.
Is not gonna boost the sales. Is not like people gonna loose their sleep for not playing a shitty RPGM game, when 9 out of 10 of the pirates don't even play it but just use a save file. If anything it just make it more annoying for who actually pay for these games.

I think NLCH means it'll offer extra cloud saves and auto-updates for legit players. He never said anything about encrypting the game.

Isn't the dev planning to release this on Steam? Locking features to 3rd party accounts will only get it review-bombed and I don't think he'd like that.
The point of the third party accounts were to verify a purchase. Unless he's releasing the game on steam as F2P that's not an issue in the first place they'd just give those perks out.

That's understandable but I'm saying because he's talking about using 3rd party logins for things like cloud saves and automatic updates too. Hopefully that's only for this "alpha/beta" period of the game because, like I said, locking features behind 3rd parties is usually not well-received on Steam.

Yeah, but in general asking for more copyright protection is just stupid. The only ones that are going to be bothered by it are the actual paying customers. Pirates at worst will just have to wait for a delay. Just like mainstream games.
Please don't ask to add stupid.

I think he is talking about the demo version that is distributed on Patreon, ci-en, and Perohub. Also, I thinks they had their eye on this forum, nlch edited their comment, lol.

i played the game, idk but for me it took almost more than 15 minutes to get the start screen is really something never had that before. the loading is too much cost of the time. At this point i drop the game immediately. Unplayable for me.

Is it normal that the game asked me to update with a red text, and then it loads endlessly and is impossible to play ?

I also wanted to leave my feedback here.
I'm very excited about this game and how much effort the developer puts into it.
Unlike many others, he always pays attention to the sister's proportions so she comes across as authentic.
I love the animations and the style of the game. I'm looking forward to more :D
I've often read that the game - Julie in its entirety - is supposed to be released in June?! Is that true?!

what does the "three boxes" stat do? Is it encumbrance?

This characteristic is magic defense. It reduces damage from magic.
Mobs that attack with magic are "lights" "spewing a gas cloud" and "flying cats" with a repulsive "black hole".
Other magical damage includes lightning and freezing attacks from "slime" and "water balls" of water elementals.

if I'm not mistaken, attacks in "white" are "physical damage", "blue" are "magic" and "purple" are damage from special mechanics (falling into the abyss, poison, bomb explosions, bleeding, ram of fruit spirits, etc.)

Yeah well, to be fair, aside from Hades, Diablo, and Baldur's Gate, if you've played one dungeon crawler, you played them all; I'll take whatever fresh new aspect on the genre I can get
This comment is just meant to inspire you. Should you not have played the mentioned games.

Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2 were also masterpieces in an on themselves. The atmosphere is impeccable.

The Bunny Black series while not on the same league still felt special. Only in the start did I do it for the prawn. I remember in the second game. I wanted to have disciplined jet black knights so badly. Bit of the spectral 'tism on my behalf, I guess.

Noita, Binding of Isaac, Darkest Dungeon 1 (screw the sequel), and Enter The Gungeon are also technically dungeon crawlers. They feel nice to play once you have mastered the systems. It was a headache forcing myself to clear everything with the default gun in Enter The Gungeon. However, once you get to that point all the worries just slip away (at least for me).

Dungeons of Dredmor and Dungeonmans are games where you have to learn to laugh at yourself and not take everything so seriously. They'll drive you insane otherwise. The lore of the games is not so much in the idiotic messages, you get along the way. It's really felt in the areas of the different dungeons. Everything changes and you have to adapt.

I've spend so much time in Slormancer. Although, it's mostly a brain off kind of game, especially once you've made incredible builds for your characters. Despite having many hundreds of hours into that game. I don't really know, if I can recommend it to other people.

Ring of Pain is more of a card game despite also being marketed as a dungeon crawler. I mention it, because I so adore that game. Finding out good combos, the lore, and the monsters/areas yourself is really rewarding.

Nightmare Reaper is an FPS dungeon crawler. There are so many goofy builds and so much fun in this game. It is a dungeon crawler with many solutions to any given problem.
