What guide, that walkthrough doesn't help at all, its basically a glorified change log.

If the official guide and the "Dishes" tab do not help you.
Then to cook something ordinary and edible, you usually need to cook 3 identical edible ingredients.
Only meat dishes are "buffed".
Dishes with hot peppers are "debuffed".
Once you open that spreadsheet there are different tabs to click on along the bottom, or possibly along the top if you're on mobile. The dish tab has recipe's.
I think I fucked up. Got to the ?? Tomb, fought the big hound thing, fell off before I could loot anything or confirm it was dead, and now it's gone. Should I just pop a ZA WARUDO or wait a few days for it to respawn?

the boss respawns approximately every 7 game days. With the help of the "The world" card, you can refresh most of the game's cards, including the boss. But each new boss seems to be slightly stronger than the previous one. It may be more profitable to roll back to a save and kill it for loot.
Oh well, I kept going back there every day until it respawned and ganked it with explosive arrows. It feels like I may be close to running out of content though, since there are no more accessible levels to explore (and jumping in a hole is a bad idea).

in fact, with the help of the right "machinations" with the phoenix feather and certain actions "space" when falling, you can walk on the lava level, but approaching stationary mobs will burn the hero and this threatens a quick return home in a wounded state.
cant download the game because it says that nw_elf_dll... even though I can see that nw_elf_dll was in the file
