There is that red/gold chest across a gap in the labyrinth that I can't seem to get to when I try to hug the wall. There is also that other gap if you go to the right and that is the one I sometimes randomly fall down. Also, what do you do if you get knocked onto a raised area? Is there a way to hop down, or hop up onto raised areas? Do you gain a jump later on, or a way to climb?

Does anyone know where this trinket comes from?

Oh, so that is the gap that you were talking about, for these you have to find the one spot where you can climb, sometimes is kind hard to find and it can be just a small passage where you "don't see a wall", sometimes can be a rope, sometimes can be a stony passage like
