How do I learn the defense spell, the only thing I can do with Alison is to have sex and nothing else.

To learn Defend with magic from Alison, you need to charm her first and have enough experience to be able to learn a new spell, which is indicated by the glowing of your spell book.
I think the walkthrough is a little bit old, I don't see i could charm Madison at the beginning because after she delivered the bag she just left.
About the step of "Ask Angela about records on the Broken Inn Hotel."
After I saw an e-mail said Angela will notice me after she found the record, then I can't move on because although I passed a few days but nothing happened.

I installed the mod but the images seem to be broken now. Could you please tell me what I did wrong?
Hi, i tried to play a new game on the v14.11a but i can't find a way to start the quest to charm the vampyre, i can't ask sarah gates anymore about "why is she looking at the window" like in the older versions (on both soft murder and apprentice path). am i missing something? i'm sure i didn't speak about it in the whole game, yet it doesn't pop up (i've completed every other charm, even leanne by following the walkthrough step by step)
Bologna44 mod is standalone meaning you don't need ANYTHING else if you try to merge it with current version, that will lead to broken images and probably broken game.

The conditions to appear vary a little on the path, alway you must of done the Seance.
For murder you must of charmed her, conspiracy met her, apprentice visited a few times.
So try and visit her a few times, if the question does not appear , leave and re-visit
how do i use standalone mod .... it is just image folder ... do i need to put those images in main game folder?

It is a standalone game, download, then open the file index.html in the base folder, exactly the same as you do for the main game
It is NOT applied to the base game in any way, it does not have any content in the base game after version 14.8.4

This is a bug fix and small feature update for the game. This replaces the 14.11a update and includes all content from that fix and in addition

You need to make that yourself or ask someone else to do it, cmacleod42 is not going to make the mod.

The stone is here but did not show due to an issue relating to a change in 14.11 with how items appear in rooms. If you revisit the room the stone will be there
The query about the blue bottle is dependent on other events in the game, just do other things and check back later. I will note the blue bottle is not required in the story, it is one possible approach here.
When I talk to Tess in the hotel I don't go up to the room to attempt the puzzle, I just stay n the main room, also any save I make in the hotel can't be loaded from it just stays on the choose your load screen. This is with a clean install and no cheats.
