I don't see how to enable cheats. The help menu says it's an app in the phone, but there's no "cheat helper" app, nor is there an option in the left panel. Is there a file I can edit directly?

Here's my save if it helps:

1. Open Phone.
2. Click icon of Space Invader (the green guy below the Question Mark and above the Map on the right of the phone's home screen).
3. Click on the 'Cheat' app below Flappy Bird.
Cheats are now enabled on the left of the screen. Just click the '-' to collapse the menu without disabling cheats and click the '+' on the bottom of the screen to reopen the cheat menu.

Then go play game that you like and not this game if you need to "power through" to play it. You are just trying to force the dev to make the game as you like and not what dev like. You can have your opinion and that's fine but don't start to whine here to dev to change everything that he has made. There is even more QOL stuff that there used to be.

I freed Kate and she said she was leaving town, even if I charm her. Did I do stuff in the wrong order? The walkthrough doesn't seem to see this as a possibility, especially since I only just defeated the warlock ghost.

I will say that the progress flag logic for a lot of these quests can get super byzantine and hard to follow. An active quest log telling you what you need to do next would be a HUGE quality of life improvement over the (only sometimes correct) walkthrough system.

while I argee it can be confusing this game was pretty much "Inherited" from the orignal creator who didn't want porn and other stuff to the Current dev Cmacleod so kind of just sticking with the base platform of the game

By unplayable I mean that it's at some point it turns into a chore and not a good feeling to progress through. So, at some point you stop since you've exhausted your will power to tolerate it. Not literally unplayable, since you can power through it, fair enough. It launches, there's pictures on the screen, some text, you know. That's not my criteria.

Your question has been answered by countless people before me, you can:
1. Search this thread with a word 'walkthrough' and read. It's 50 pages though.
2. Open reviews and CTRL+F word 'walkthrough' (or any low star reviews).

Over and all, the game literally ships with a walkthrough.html. It's meta information and should be disguised as in-game quest log to not destroy player's immersion. I like the content though, but the way you're supposed to interact with it is underdeveloped.

AGREED 100% also shielded Charm needs to be added to cheats so annoy with every update scrolling down the list person by person by person altering their corruption state just to see content would be much more fun to "play" this "game" if it were immersive the whole time, I'm just very aware that I'm not a character but a person being one.

I don't know if it's been mentioned before or not, but if you leave the choosing of characters until you meet them in-game, when you get to the mansion during the investigation, there is a choice of 3 police officers to pick but the screen becomes unresponsive and the only way to make it work again is to refresh the page, I've fixed that issue by picking the police officers characters ahead of time

It is a false positive, it is a javascript file I created on my home system, that is clean with no viruses

True, I kinda have feeling that people think by paying, they can just make demands for the devs to change the game how they wants the game to be...... Patreon is for donating money to the game IF you like the game. I know some devs make polls to see where to go next or how the people like what there is already. But also there is devs that just asks what the people like even if it trumps what the devs has in mind for the game...... I know cmacleod42 do not take money for the game so no one can use money as weapon to try to change the game.

Where am I supposed to go with Jessica with her tracking spell to find her daughter? She led me into the park but nothing's there.

Edit: it seems to be a bug where it lets me enter the park through the sports field, but doesn't let me leave. I was meant to go to the stores,

Did you speak to Sir Ronald and he said get out you are no longer his apprentice, then certainly YES. If he discovers you charmed Lauren then that is it, you can never enter the mansion again. Load an earlier save from before this and avoid him and you will be ok, and save scum a bit, he has a chance of realising each time you visit him

Thanks I have fixed that issue and worst case you get to the Park it will allow you out of it

If you do not have a save game you can reset a bit using the cheat menum open it, View People, locate Sir Ronald.
If the edit boxes for Change Other/Extra type 0 and 21 and click the link
BUT
this might skip some interactions with him depending on where you are.

In general I would recommend on the apprentice path follow the new non-charm path for Sarah and Lauren
