How to trigger kate 1 "If you stay the night at the inn (Claire quest or pay for your stay) you will see her talk to Thomas at 0am."? I wait until midnight and nothing happen

Invite Rick for a drink, fail the waitress mini-game. Then listen to the conversation between Kate and Thomas upstairs

Been getting into this again and one thing I actually really appreciate is that despite some quests having long wait timers (Mira's 14 days, Henry recovery, and Rumah construction stuff for example), there's still so much other shit to do that you don't even really notice the wait. Kinda nice I don't have to just spam day skipping all the time since there's always something more I could be doing.
