Can these files be activated ? or what. Why do I need the key and the archive itself, what will happen if I put them in the game folder?

I believe it is related to Arianna and Werewolf content, the "read me" in the file talks about it. The KEY isnt needed I dont believe but I just added it in case.
Yes, it works without a key, so it's easy to add a scene with a werewolf alone, nothing more like that
Does the game developer have a discord server ? if yes, can I link to the server ?

Yes there is a Discord but its only open to people who pledge at minimum 1$ on Patreon. No links to invite.

Patreon Weekly Report from Chyos
"Good day everyone,
over the past week I've continued the work on Lyvia's update.
After finishing the animations for the party at the camp and implementing it I looked into the interaction with Lyvia at her tent (since after the party Lyvia will take you there) and thought about how to expand it. This lead to reworking the reverse ride animation (I've thought about leaving it as it was, but it looked odd when you switched positions) and the addition of 3 new animations for the tent.
After that was done I continued with the mercenary mechanic and completed the part which will let you upgrade your mercs to tier 3. After that I've been working on the part where the MC gets to train with Lyvia to learn how to wield a sword.
While this took already a big portion of the week I also worked on 2 new maps for the story and added dialogue for the upcoming conflict with the Raven. I'm not going to spoil the story here of course, just want to tell you that my work on it continued.
This of course brings me now to the estimated release date of 0.5.2.0. First question is probably: Is it possible to get it done until next Friday? To which I must answer: probably not. A week sounds like a lot of time, but I've learned my lesson how quickly it passes by. And with everything that is left to be added it's not possible to complete it by then. But since I want to give you another release this month I will release an update on the coming Friday with everything that is finished by then (0.5.1.9).
The final part in which the full quest can then be completed will be released early next month as soon as it's done.
That said, I'm now back to working.

i just downloaded the game and I am not sure if I should follow the walkthrough or not. I am worried that there might be timed events that would either lock me out of content or railroad the progression. Any advice?

Just play. In the quests, everything is painted in sufficient detail. If the events are time dependent, a system message appears. You won't miss it.

There are only few Quests that are time relevant as in when they trigger, but once they triggered their progress is defined by you makeing either a choice or being at a certain location.
That said it would be a good idea to atleast take a look at the walkthrough once in order to know what content the game has to offer and what you actually want to achieve in the game.
You can always use the walkthrough when stuck, but the game is quiet well made in regards of Progression and Quest explanations

This post might rustle some feathers, but I've been absent for a while now and I have to say that this game has been disappointing me lately. I'm considering stopping being a donor and following the development.
A few months ago people were machine gunnin' that the story of this game gets absolutely nowhere because of Rumah overload. Vanilla players get salty with the NTR obsession as well, especially from some patrons who completely dictate where this game goes.
I was like "calm down mate, don't be so mad, wait for a while".
Yeah, but I'm seeing the point now. The last bonus scene was Tia shit *again*, the next bonus scene is Arianna in Rumah, and look, Tia is leading the main poll! The main plot moves like a turtle, and characters are forgotten in favor of NTR supremacist scenes ideas (here are some lazily new angles for the vanilla side shut the fuck up - we are having NTR-focused updates now, there is no wiggling room for this last Tia update and her storyline - it's a fact). Maybe when we reach our golden years we will discover who is the MC's family.
This is funny because this dev can definitely not be called a milker. He's more like a puppet of his patrons and bites more than he can chew often. Sorry, but it's the truth. It came to a point that he currently stopped the bonus scene of the month to remedy that. Why support him at this tier again?
Feel legit bad writing this because Chyos seems like a legit good guy. But the development has been messy at best. Might change my review and stop watching this thread. I was waiting for Lyvia's update to finish, but playing this game again on my lil potato with Intel Graphics is a chore (one of the most demanding games on this site - and it's RPGM with Tk17 graphics! - and my main PC went to shit), so I might pass.

Can’t say I disagree nor completely agree.
The game has still content for non NTR fans, look at the Queen update, and the NTR oriented scenes are still mostly bonus scenes, and it was a tremendous chance that we got Rumah, Tia, Tia, Rumah continuously, even Chyos decided to stop for a moment the Rumah fever, but after seeing some discord fanatics I cannot but agree.
Look bright at least next Tia update shall be the last… Ah no, we still miss pregnancy Tia.
Her shadow still looms.

Think it's an issue of scope creep. The game is getting too wide and the story is kinda shallow. I understand devs that take this approach of keeping their donors happy, but at the same time you also want to keep trying to bring people in. If you only play to one type of audience, it sorta becomes a circlejerk and stagnates. Superpowered is a good example of this, where it took years and years for Baal to move the story forward, because his donors wanted more ntr scenes. It's a tough balancing act, because you want to keep your game fresh and engaging, while keeping patrons happy too. Hopefully the dev starts moving the ball forward with the story soon. Otherwise, if nothing changes the game will slowly die out and that's a shame.

Every bonus scene has both NTR and Vanilla, more vanilla than NTR, what but as Wolf said, it seems the newer ones are more hinted towards NTR.
I agree, we should see more of the MC's family. Also they should be fucked by everybody in the town. Literally everybody. Just doubled by Patreon subscription. Lets goooo
