Ren'Py - Completed - A Tale of Eden [Final] [395games]

The art style was a nice change from all the DAZ-VN's around. But there's where the things end. There's one girl with three slightly different morphs. The face on the three are identical.
I didn't dislike or like the VN, it was just kind of nothing in the between.
It would've had 4/5 if it wasn't for the grind which was random and I and RNG doesn't do well together...

Just finished the game, and it was meh. I felt disapointed throught the whole experience. Before I speak ill, the annoyance I felf after feeling as if i wasted 4-5 hours, about two of useless grinding, I didnt feel as annoyed after reading the comments, dev isnt as shit as I originally thought.


Graphics: Ill give it like a B. The unique claymation style art is decent. The backgrounds were all amazing, but charecters seemed off. The lack of emotiom bothered me with this art style. Plus the eyes that stares into the pit of your soul is offputting. Although, im not sure how to fix that, and the bodies were pretty good.


Gameplay; C. it was meh. Stats seemed unimportant, looking for items even more so. Like the dev had plans but bailed later on. Im not sure if knowledge effected anything aside from maybe advancing one evenf, same with ability. Threat was only relevant for the first chapter, it felt more like filler than anything.


Charecters: B. They were fine. Non of which stood out to me neither in a good or bad way. They had some personality which fell through at times, other times their personality changed, primarily in the last chapter. Which is mostly caused by gameplay/story changes.


Story: C. I would say the story was a B, maybe an A. However the ending went by so quickly... Everything seemed to be pushed away to end the game quickly. Chapters 2-3 also felt very short as well, only existed to get it over with. The massive cliffhanger was a disapointing one as well. It started with really good world building! able to learn a bit about cultures, different parts of history, and the different kinds of magic. However after a while, the world building became unimportant and i felt talking to charecters about it became a chore because the game was rushing me.


Lastly, the tags also disapointed me. "Management" and "Trainer" dont effect the end product at all. Not a trace of it. Which is a shame because Management was the primary reason I played it. Love that shit. Plus Mind Control has little, to no effect on the game. We use it effectivly on one girl, ever. Then at a certain point becomes pointless, only to be useful for plot convenience..

Overall, Id give it a C. Its passing, I understand why some could enjoy it. Ill jm just going to move on, If i ever see the dev continue this one, or make a sequel ill try it. Just wont get my hopes up.

I'm not one for reviews. Seriously, I play a lot of these games and dont say much. The story is intriguing, it draws you in. It really is a game you play for the plot. One of the tags is "Big Tits" and that is is a straight up lie. Yes, the renders are below average, the term "claymation" is accurate. Still, the story is good, until the end where it just leaves you hanging after forcing a rape unto one of the girls in order to finish the game. I would rate this higher if there were more content but the game finishes at a mid-epoch transition.

It is a game that invites you to play it more to unlock all the scenes. The grafics are okay, there is some grinding needed but it is entertaining enough to keep playing.
The storyline is really entertaining.

a lot of potential! didn't think I'd like the art as much as I did, but it grows on you and theres a polish to them I haven't seen on other anime based 3d games.
played ep 1, saw ep 2 and started downloading immediately. Keep up the good work, looking forward to many more to come

Far better then I thought it would be, I'm looking forward to next episode. Can't wait to humiliate and dominate that cute little witch it would be nice if the discord was public, I'll just have to keep my eyes open I guess.

A nice blend of porn and plot, I can't wait for the next episode! It got a little grindy at times but then I noticed I could work at night, so that doubled my money making potential.

The Sex Scenes are on the long-ish side, pretty detailed, and re playable which is good since there really aren't too many at this time. Still I enjoyed them enough to want more.

First off the art style. Its good. Its different. Honestly i could see people thrown off by it but its nice to see something pop and stand out. The gameplay loop is standard for these types of games but the text is quick enough to spam click through when doing repeatable tasks. A big plus is the more stylistic choice ui, small but goes a long way. Same with the map, love the low poly style. The story is interesting enough if not a little generic, not that I mind too much. Magic is always fun to see and explore, and with all the lessons (lore) and addition of new characters I see the potential to have a nice melting pot of all the different nations, magics, etc of this world. Some solid content for a first release, lots of (personally) great fetishes. Overall looking forward to where this goes.

Its still early to really say anything about a game like this, yet I feel compelled to give it a 5/5 simply due to the polish that went into it and because I want to see it grow. The art is incredibly original and beautifully done. Everything is modelled from scratch and the quality is simply great. The characters are likeable, the story is charming and funny, and the atmosphere together with the music choices go great together. Despite looking like a claymation, erotism still manages to work fine due to the great character models, although it might take some a little bit of time to get used to it.

I'd play this game even if it had no erotism simply due to how great it looks. We should be rewarding game creators that take big risks in having such original art styles. That is why regardles of it still being on early stage, I firmly believe this deserves a 5/5.

Just finished playing yesterday and yeah I enjoyed this one. Its not a perfect game but I still like it. A Tale of Eden has a unique world with dialogue full of lore explaining this world, different nations and magical abilities. The renders are pretty unique as well, overall I did enjoy the writing there were a few times though where the dialogue were a bit long winded. The characters so far are great Fucking love the Pissed off Mushroom People! I thought they were Hilarious especially during Library when the kid is asking for the Cucumber Troll book. The humor is decent but its hit or miss has kind of a deadpool 4th person breaking the 4th wall at times. Map mechanics are great I enjoy that rpg feel choose a location and pick the action so you have freedom to prioritize earning more money or training or mind control corruption. Also the music is nice it reminded me of old school rpg games classic final fantasy vibe.

Like I mentioned before I rather do enjoy A Tale of Eden, overall so far everything is good. was a very nice start for the first chapter. The only drawbacks I have are its a bit of a grinder not going to lie, but its not unbearable but it does take some time and sadly no animations or videos of porn but there are 4 lewd moments 2 for each character which is decent, but fuck dude there's hardly any lewds much less nudity and lewd movements than I was expecting in general the pacing is slow kinda comes off as a chore. Grind then all the good shit is at the end. More of a game with the elements of sex rather than a Hentai Porn Game the sex is kinda second nature not a fapping game so put your dick and clit away until the end.

That Blow Job scene was incredible at the very end very hot and sexy so kudos plus the cum sequence was great most games have trouble in that department hit or miss.

Turn Up the Sex factor maybe add some animations and space them out so not all of them are at the very end of the game in the future and tone down the grind a little and I think this one could easily be a a fun 4 or 5 star game.
