Same argument about SS and like 5 times the money. At least Geekski doesn't fake this is the only thing he does in life.
I don't give a fuck what these people do or don't do. Just so sick and tired about people bitching about someone's side hustle not living up to the expectations of someone's real source of income. This has happened to pretty much every single game on this forum. No shit Geekski ain't pouring his life into this. Why anyone expects this beyond me. At least he's not out right lying about it. Many of the developers aren't either but people keep acting like these projects are the only life the developers have. It's laughable.
Y'all are bitching about a porn game not living up to some fantasy expcataions you have assigned to it. If the most successful dipshit on the platform can't do it with 5x the resources it's laughable to think someone with less could either.

I could point out that Insexual Awakening has had a fraction of the support this game's had and that's a finished a game in the time this one's taken to get here. Year and a half? 2 at most? How long has this game been around? Furthermore, the devs are working on a new one while adding mod support for it.
That's a game with a lot of characters and a lot of content for those characters, and the same size team I believe.

Before this goes any further and descends into complete anarchy, can we all please take a moment and breath. nopper, Demon's Crust has a point. There's a lot of things wrong with this update, trying to dispute that is like trying to tell an oncoming train that it can't run over you while standing on the tracks and you were there first. Crust isn't saying that Geeseki and their team should strap themselves to their desks and work until they've made something to please everyone, but that Geeseki and their team cannot be made exempt from criticism. What their saying is that the amount of content does not equate to the amount of time and money invested into this game, and someone needs to be held responsible for those failings. And after four months of waiting and this is the kind of update we get? Yeah, I'm not happy about it, this update could and should have had more polish. Demon's Crust, the games is 2 years old and will be three 3 come January. While I don't deny criticism is necessary in a case like this, especially given the state of this update and the game's overall state. I believe that there is a line where it stops being criticism and becomes vitriolic rhetoric. So it might be best if everyone again just takes a moment to breath and calm down.

I don't disagree with there being problems, but this exact same type of thing has happened to nearly every single one of these games. These are side hustles and fun projects, I assume, for the people who make these. No one should be surprised when a lazy update happens for the hundredth time.
I forget which game it was, but people were bitching about there not being an update, and the developer specifically said they were taking a break for their mental health. And people were still bitching. There was an update, and people were still bitching. It's seemingly impossible to please this audience of people no matter what gets done.
I ain't white-knighting shit, I'm pointing out complaints about shit updates are shit. As long as the developer hasn't upped and abandoned the project, work will still probably be done on it. Some updates are better than others and that's life. You don't like it, stop giving the developer money if you are, and move on.

$4.7k/month and outputs a low effort update within 4 months (which makes around roughly $18.8k~ if the amount of patrons are the same each month). That's one heck of a side project.
Keep in mind this project is done by a Dev team. 4 months of laziness through development is a sign of incompetence.
You seem to blur the line on opinionated criticism and bitching. Don't lump all of them together.
There are Devs that just ditches the whole project without any update. Konashion's SDT development was one of them.
Ah, the classic "don't like it, don't buy it" mindset. You seem to care less about the value of money and what it can do to a person who has a wealthy amount. Plus, you're telling that to the wrong people.
I seem to notice you're advocating the Devs a lot even though you said you aren't. I'm not really seeing you as the fence sitter in this one.
If you are a developer of whatever genre it may be, it always helps to be transparent and constantly updating your progress especially if this is an indie title. And the fact that this VN is maintained through crowdfunding, makes it more the reason to keep the patrons in check with what's to come, people want to see what the Devs are doing with their money. It is in fact, an unfinished VN after all.
It's kind of messed up that Patreon lets people auto-renew their monthly subscription and just forget that they're subscribed to a Patreon page. And then new users are going to see this game floating around some website without knowing the full context of the game's development progress and subscribes anyway. It's an endless cycle of fluctuating cash that people never seem to care about, especially in the NSFW crowdfunding gaming world.
It's just porn right? Who cares about money?
When you've seen the same thing repeated, numerous times, it's not advocating to point out that this is nothing out of the ordinary. It's also not out of the ordinary to hear a whole bunch of people bitching and moaning about it. Both are aging like fine hot garbage.
Geekski is a lazy developer. We knew this since I don't even know how many updates ago. That first draft of the last update was sounds an awful lot like this version of the first draft of this releases. Color me unsurprised because my head isn't in the sand. Complaining about it this long after the fact is at this point, absurd.
Fools and their money are easily separated. What's new about that.

This update was supposed to focus on the main story, but gods I'd recommend skipping it. There's so many unfinished scenes and placeholder art, that frankly it's inexcusable. And I feel bad for the new writer and coder because it feels as though that they're at least trying to put some form of quality work but the missing art is just makes the whole update horrendous.
