VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - A Whole New World [v0.11] [Remionar]

A very successful start to a game. Style may look weird for some people, but for those of us that played many games on f95 it has one thing - it's unique. And watchable. And fappable, for me.

Also unique choice of characters, indian(?) mc girl, korean roommate girl, white guy, black guy, and some more. And judging by what tags i see now it's an interesting set of characters.

But what's more important is that it has a great base - system in this game counts points from your choices, not necessarily has to track every single one of them, which makes development pleasant and speedy, allowing us to have a LOT of choices without slowing down the dev. Sprites aren't drawn either, having both unique style and speed with which dev can make some new ones.

All looks well, all deserves a 5 star rating for such a start, and it's what we're rating here anyway - the game is like 15-20 mins long as of now. But it's definitely worth following.

very unique art style first of its kind which is especially impressive. Love the fact that it has an indian girl main character that's super unique. Good story line looking forward to seeing more. A++

TLDR
Has potential, but it's just a demo for now.

Cons
-The models can be a bit weird at times, mostly around the neck
-There are some small spelling and grammar mistakes in the text
-Still early demo. Not much content yet (I found 2 sex scenes: 1 masturbation and 1 of sex between side characters, but I haven't tried all the paths, so there might be more).
-The setting is quite generic, for now (sheltered virgin girl arrives in an environment where she is no longer sheltered and discovers more about herself)

Pros
-Story seems interesting from what we got so far
-I think the stats system could lead to interesting effects
-A good amount of choices for demo

Overall
As a fan of story driven games, this has potential. There are already some corruption elements, which I'm a big fan of, and there's also a good amount of choices for a first release.

I'm not sure how I feel about the art, nor the sex scenes, but I'm not that much into visuals, so I personally don't really mind but I can see some people give it a much lower score because of it. At this point and with what little I saw of the sex scenes, the dev avoids showing the neck, which is the part that bother me the most with the style, but I don't know how doable that can be long term.

There also the fact that the MC can be a prude virgin which could lead to the game being a slow-burner, but if it follows the style of Good Girl Gone Bad, as it states in the overview, that will entirely depend on the player. If it provides lots of game changing choices and lots of path, I can easily get behind this game.

Same applies to the setting. For those that played GGGB, you might remember that it started with a normal college girl reacting to life around her and making choices that will push her in any number of directions. In fact, a good simple setting will make it more relatable than something strange and unrelatable.

I think we will need to see how the next few updates go before we decide if it's great game material or not, but as long as updates happen often enough and bring a good bit of content, with lots of paths, I think it can turn out good.
