ok here we go
Using D-Formers with Sophia as the Host ;)

First pose the character so it will naturally sink into the couch/bed or what ever you want to deform
Second: Select the Sofa

3: Under the "Create" menu select "New D-former" and this window pops up
Press OK

4: In the scene tab under the sofa you know have the D-Former Base and the D-Former Field
Select the D-Former Field

As you can see the field covers the entire sofa.
but you only want to use the dform effect where the hands is.
its too large as it is now so under parameters select the scale slider and start to scale the field down.

5: scale the field down to around this size

6: use the X and Z translate sliders or arrows and start to move the field to the center of the hand.

7: Now comes the magic
Select the D-Former and start to adjust Y- (up and down) until it looks ok

8: To finetune the pressed area you may need to move the "field" (Not the D-Former) with X or Z and in this chase where the hand is bend down some i had to
rotade the D-Former with the X rotate slider.
And for sofas or beds they are not that soft right so when you press it an larger area will be affected.
for this i had to scale UP the field some so the pressed area got bigger.

9: Thats for one hand but there is two
now you can cheat.
Select the D-Former field and under parameters right click on it and select Copy/Copy Selected items.
Now Select the sofa again and create one more D-Former.
Select the D-Former2 field and right click and select Paste/Paste to Selected items.
Now the second D-former field wil be an exact copy of the first one so you dont have to scale it down again.
Move the second D-Former field to the second hand and adjust the Y value for the second D-former.

One tip: you need to use a sofa or bed with high poly count otherwise it will look strange

I think Sophia is happy now
Btw it was a pleasure to work with you Sophia i will do it again :)

Lovely. When I want detail, I'll go with D-former, but when I want quick and dirty I'll go with Mesh Smoothing and let the bed, couch, pillow, or even the grass be the affected collision item. The higher the polygon count the sweeter it looks.

Yeah, we might be able to figure out how to make similar head and body of the "cute silly rabbit." :) But her outfit is extremely hard to find. I couldn't locate even her simple-looking sandal in any of three major asset markets. I can guess the texture might have been customized but the outfit shapes couldn't be found either. Maybe different eyes would...
Sounds like something the dev would do.
I should be looking for the "cute silly rabbit."character but I have been spending so much time on my precious.
