I think a lot of people still use denoiser. I do for some of mine. But at the same time I am trying to move away from it as much as I can. End of the day each to his own. Except Old Dog he is just weird.

LMAO. Yeah, well, in tests I ran I seen zero difference in using it or not, except my renders were much faster with it. Maybe if I zoomed in and examined the pixels I could tell. With my hardware (1050) there is no way I am waiting over an hour for something I need a magnifying glass to tell the difference. But, as you said, to each his own.

It's certainly the best option if your hardware sucks like mine and you're not wealthy enough to afford a better video card.

Edit: I just noticed I messed up on the transparency for the decal projection and the square border of the texture is showing.... probably because it doesn't match the transparency of the shirt certain persons wanted... ah well.

These are the settings I use. I only have a GTX1050TI video card with 4G of VRAM and I render all my scenes you see posted here in around 5 mins give or take using the DENOISER (I await the wrath of the anti-denoiser gods). Not everyone will agree, but I get results that don't take me over an hour. Anyhow, basically all other settings not shown I leave at defaults.

Of course, people's hardware and opinions on this vary, some get very angry at even suggesting using denoising. All i can say is to do some experiments on your own, which is what I did... I spent A LOT of time rendering tons of images using varying settings and checking the quality and I find this works for me with acceptable results in a timely manor.

As for your character not standing on the floor, you can select your character, then right click on the parameters tab and there'll be an option near the bottom of that tab to move the character to the floor, provided the floor isn't itself too high up).

You can also just click on the character and adjust their Y Translation which is their height up in the air.

I used 2500 samples and rendered at 4k in my first render then scaled it to 75% in photoshop

I used 2500 samples and rendered at 4k in my first render then scaled it to 75% in photoshop

That varies, depending on your hardware honestly. With my low end hardware I only go to 200 samples at FHD 1080P. After a few tests where I let it render to 100% with and without denoising, I honestly had a difficult time seeing any quality difference, but maybe better hardware would help? With denoising, you don't need as many samples and so it renders faster (as I said, 200). If you choose not to use denoising than you will need many more samples (I have heard 500 or so is a good minimum) and as you do, at a higher resolution then downscale it, but that takes much longer, at least on my hardware.

My best advice would be to try various settings, with and without denoising taking note of the time it takes for each, then comparing the different renders and seeing if you can tell the difference. It's what I did and how I came up with the settings I use.
