I'm working on redoing some of my renders and I came across an interesting problem that, for some odd reason, I didn't notice when I first rendered this. The glass on this car, a VW Bug ("Small Retro Car") distorts the light passing through it like a magnifying glass. Not sure what the person who created this was thinking, never noticed car glass acting like a magnifying glass in my life. I ended up having to check the Glass surfaces (there's several) and adjust the refraction from 1.10 to 1.00, something to look out for. I also used the camera's depth of field effect in the new render and I noticed the area of focus was better lit, but I didn't change the lighting at all. Other than that, I only restored the higher resolution textures in the second image.

The before and after images are pretty dramatic. Fascinating results I thought, from just a few minor changes.

Old image... the side windows are really bad and the rear window really distorts the road...

All window refraction is gone and lighting is much better due to camera focus alone (I didn't change the lighting)...

I didn't hide any of their body parts etc... just to test and it's fast to render, like 1-2 mins.

The glass setting was in the following area...

Could you of not used "Output capacity"on the glass?

I'm not sure what that is?

Incidentally, you can grab the car I used in the following bundle of retro cars...
click on object then go to surface tab and type in output and lower it down
