I understand incest with distant (older) cousins and it is something that I have felt attracted to a couple of times but with my mother or sister there is never something that does not call me Dylan's obsession with his mother instead of at least going for Sam's.

Lesbianism, at least in my case, I enjoy for a few minutes and then I get bored and anticipate it (unless a man sees or participates) since they tend to give girls very cloying and cheesy personalities and attitudes during sex.

In this game, Sam is more or less only the counterpart to Dylan. He's just way too perfect to really be a replacement for Dylan. Just Sam, would not make sense.

Even the lesbian part in this game is about something between Sophia and close famliy. Sometimes I think some here are blind, and just ignore the obvious. This game is called "A wife and mother" for a reason. It doesn't make sense to concentrate only on the side elements and then wonder why almost nothing results. My goodness, L&P isn't even fast enough for the actual main story.

Aiden and Sam only make sense in the game because they are Dylan's counterparts, so to speak. Sam is the one who is perfect in everything, and Aiden is the asshole. Without Dylan, neither make sense in this game. No, this game is about a wife and mother, and so Dylan and Ellie are clearly more important than all the characters you have listed here.

The fact that L&P has unfortunately plastered the game with subplots is something that is now falling on his feet, since he can't really finish either these subplots or even the main story. The idea should be to remove as much unnecessary side events as possible in order to have any chance of ever being finished.

The idea, at least for me, is that she is a wife and a mother and she has different reactions to the situations she is put in that a 20 year old with no real ties except maybe a boyfriend. Same with Sam. If she was 100% into those relationships, I would not be into it at all. That's why I like the Aiden route the most. I also like the teaching path for the kids although I would have hoped they would be a little older, this way it's a little creepy.

I think it's hard to draw such clear boundaries. Just take Ellie, she clearly also has a bi interest in Sophia but still is part of the incest story. Also for Dylan there is the Cuckold path besides the romantic path, which clearly requires further action from Sophia away beside Dylan. Nevertheless, I think it's important not to think of a game as a collection of kinks that you just have to check off. This only leads to the story becoming boring. Especially little or not at all interwoven side stories, e.g. the side jobs are something that would have been better never in the game, because these only delay the development even further and thus jeopardize the entire project.

As for the Aiden story, I can only say that I perceive him as an antagonist to Dylan and that his story makes no sense without Dylan. On top of that, I think Aiden is just too unbelievable in the game to have any real weight as a villain. Even though I actually like the idea, I think that at some point it's enough, with more and more tasks that ultimately get increasingly distant from the actual plot. Here, for example, a combination with Dylan in his cuckold path might would have made more sense, because that way the story would be condensed. I do not know.

No matter what L&P does, the goal should be to accelerate the development of this game. What good is a game with many stories if none of them is finished?

Dylan is now so entrenched in so many facets of AWAM that ignoring it has become very difficult, hence my suggestion elsewhere of re-titling this game &/or rebooting from the start as "A Son & Brother." Then L&P could ignore everything but M/S incest & might even feel like putting in a few days work a week to breathe new life into his favourite MC. Fans who didn't like it could leave. It's a horrible solution to a situation that the Dev has created but right now it feels to the non-Dylan AWAM fans that we're already at that juncture. It's a surfeit of Dylan.

L&P has indeed peppered this game with sub-plots, far too many, which he no doubt found easier to introduce, along with sundry characters, than to actually write a cohesive story focussed on a wife & mother. Several of these sub-plots involve Dylan, so let's get rid of a couple & above all let's stop the 2nd MC nonsense. Let's stop sacrificing various other sub-plots on the altar of Dylan.

My own personal solution to the Dylan issue would be for him to be scouted by a first rank English or Scottish football club which would give him a life few teenagers could ever dream of & coincidentally cause him to move several thousand miles away. He'd still come home for visits of course.

This idea alone, to switch off the children and only play the side stories, I think is silly. It's only right that Dylan and Ellie are important characters in this game. That do not mean that everything is about them, but it make sense that even side stories are there to support their plots as childern of Sophia. For this, You don't need a reboot, and you don't need a new title, because that is and was the main story in this game from the beginning. Also that some of the content is toid from Dylan's perspective , fits perfectly, because otherwise especially story elements that are unknown to Sophia at the moment (e.g. the voyeur elements in Dylan Cockold path) could be told only inadequately. Here's what I think.

This is a game to watch the process of corruption of Sophia, wife and mother.
It's not a game to look at any wife's relationship or any mother's relationship.

I like incest.

But I've never been excited to see Dylan and Sophia scene or Ellie and Sophia scene.

To me so far, Dylan and Ellie have been nothing more than a device to see how far Sophia can be corrupted.

I accept the result of the vote, but my concern is Aiden and Sam and the children of Ava.

Aiden has blackmailing Sophia.
Sam is Sophia's "dream guy."
Ava's children are the devices that Sophia will be corruption to the very bottom.

So I like these stories in this game.

But even if I look at the developer's plan, I doubt I'll see what I want, even if I look at the results of the vote.

I would have no issue with some elements of the tale being told from different POVs, including Dylan's, (if AWAM moved along at a rate commensurate with its popularity). If this game moved at a different pace, this could even have been welcomed. If I had to nominate a scene with Dylan that I actually enjoyed it would be when he demonstrated basketball shooting technique to Christine, which was wholly independent of Sophia. It even evoked memories of fancying my sister's friends when I was a teenager. [Yes, I used to be one along time ago]. Covering for Ellie's smoking wasn't bad either.

My problem with Dylan is that he's almost omni-present. Again with better pacing this wouldn't be such an issue but as things stand there's no doubt that the Dev is giving Dylan the full MC treatment, which I find, I'll politely say, 'excessive.' This has caused other elements to effectively be dropped, or at least put on ill-defined hold, because L&P seems not to appreciate the opportunity cost concerning time.

L&P never officially states that characters are being written out, only that they're unlikely to appear again, e.g. Jason & Haru, who SHOULD be written out this minute IMO. What he won't ever do is to tell fans that some characters are in limbo & that they'll disappear for years, e.g. Nathalie is not due back until 2035. Even just typing that out highlights, for me, the ludicrousness of what AWAM has become. L&P is a marvellous renderer of characters & scenes but currently his story-telling capability is running on empty. He has chosen to parsimonously ration out episodic AWAM events which means that whenever a particular character receives extra attention every other plot-line suffers. I believe fans only opted for event-based updates because of the promise that they would appear on a monthly basis. That has turned out to be another example of the Dev's economy with the truth.

If AWAM is not to be abandoned or gradually drift towards 1 event per annum, to be phoned in by the Dev, something needs to change. There needs to be a pruning of plots. That would be a start. As Dylan is involved in several, he could stand to have them reduced. Both side jobs need to be given the tried & tested DLC treatment, which means they need to disappear.

Suppose there's a game named "The Tanning salon Owner Jack".

Jack doesn't necessarily have to have sex only at tanning salon, nor does he have to have sex only with tanning salon customers.

I only sometimes visit this forum so I don't know what the events of the update will be so I paly all of them. However I am skipping through most of the dialogue if I don't find a scene interesting. I also just check out some events from the gallery directly if they are not included in my gameplay. From the last update, I kind of liked the part with Sofia at the salon, flashing the dude and that's about it. I mean, the part with Dylan was interesting, and I might have enjoyed in another game but it's not why I play AWAM for.
From the little I read lately I expect to be disappointed about the next few updates which might indeed mean closer to a year, on the track L&P is.

What exactly is the main story though? I've said it before, but to me the main story is what the players make of it. You can cut out most Dylan/Ellie content at will, be a good wife, go for mostly the adult lesbian or hetero routes...and so on. There's a reason we get choices resulting in different outcomes. Some of which result in zero incest, others in more or less hetero/lesbian content...and so on. If you don't want to see any sexual content with particular characters in your game, you don't have to.

And I've also said this before, but that's pretty much the point of a choice based visual novel. You get to make your own story. Problem here is that most routes will only see content worth playing in 30-40 years from now, which might make certain other routes seem to be the so called "main story" as there's simply more content, which is caused by the game's development moving in slow-motion.

I personally don't give a flying fuck about the incest content in this game. I also don't care about children and teenagers. I'm in it for content involving adult characters (mostly hetero oriented). Thing is, I'm shit out of luck to get any of that within the next 20+ years probably. lol

Yes, it's pretty clear that there are quite different expectations for this game. I would even go a bit further and say that L&P has deliberately stirred them up.

However, what I would not say is that the incest part was reinforced afterwards. This orientation has been the core of this game from the very beginning. It starts with the scene in the car shortly after they get off the plane, where Ellie catches Dylan looking a little too closely, and continues through most of the events (with Dylan, Ellie, or Patricia). The point is that, in the best case, also characters beside the main charcters will ultimately also support this plot. Sam is a good example here because he should not be seen as an alternative to incest, but as a competitor to Dylan.

Also, The fact that a game about incest is ultimately also a game about corruption seems to be somehow lost here. I at least don't know a good plot of an incest game where you don't have to overcome the hurdles that stand in the way. In the end, the incest is just an amplified form of other coruption plots, because the relationship between the participants involved is subject to stronger social restrictions than, for example, in the case of "just" cheating. For me, at least, only this part of the incest is interesting.
