And why would L&P wait till PD24/25 for Dylan to pop up his mom's cherry, because you think so? The game has changed, you if haven't noticed. By that time Sophia gonna turn into the sluttiest milf in town. That's one of the reasons the dev is taking out the most redundant branches. Not only to be focused on the most pressing matters and saving up time for it. He's finally turning tables to please the wider audience, shifting gears from erotic slow-burn VN to a mundane porn-a-like flick.
You, guys, craved more sex, you'll get it. Thus, unexpected overhaul of the whole AWAM. It wouldn't be surprising if Dylan/Amber storyline gets squeezed into in-game regular timeline, replacing some cut off routes and becoming a new norm, as for Steam newcomers it may look just fine.
After Steam release AWAM is gonna be different, for good or bad. I still can't fathom no one in here sees it. Those who buy it gonna be vicious with their ratings and reviews over there, that's not Patreon but a Wild West. So the pricing of the live-service game and the development pace gonna be more significant than ever. If he won't solve the latter issue with approximate dates for every upcoming update, AWAM will be stomped into the dirt. I hope he's prepared for the amount of filth people gonna pour at him after finding out that this VN won't be completed in the nearest decade.

One of the things that will always intrigue me in hindsight, is that whilst I started this game playing the GW route, due to the quality of the writing, I developed a liking for M/D content.
The only posts I know about are those that are Patrons are willing to post here. And yes, Dylan/Emma has been thrown under the bus. As it should have been, it was idiotic to begin with. Sophia/Emma has far more potential, but will never will be
I beg to differ. I saw it a long time ago & commented likewise. He's deconstructed & IMO, sabotaged his own game to pursue what must be the more lucrative market. I find irony but no satisfaction, amusement, or pleasure in the fact that the audience for which he now writes will be middle-aged with kids, (thus likely to have a different take on incest & under-age sex generally, apostles included), by the time a brain-dead Sophia shows her milk jugs at the local football stadium & Dylan loses his V-card to his mother. Many will have moved on from teen tastes in porn, meaning L&P will have to continue to attract a youthful audience over the years.
Still, "it's his game," etc. As for me I'll have to hope that one day, unlikely as it seems, some enterprising Dev will write a story in 3D along the lines that AWAM used to travel. That was a story aimed at a wide audience. I'm guessing many teens enjoyed it also but it turned out to be too much of a project. It's much easier to write an AWAM that has no realism & class.

No, it is not picking up pace in any regard. He use to go at the pace of a tortoise. Something that at least gave a glimmer of hope that the story would have gone somewhere by this point but it hasn't. Now he's down to the pace of a snail and has been for almost 2 years roughly. If you don't realize the difference, then consider that a tortoise goes 1 mile per hour and a snail takes 5 days 12 hours to go a mile. This is nothing new with his circular release updates. The teasers are always enough to fool a few people here and lots over on patreon. The sad fact is, his releases have gotten progressively slower, as many have gone over this before. Some in great detail in terms of time frame it's going to take this dev to get anywhere worthwhile with the story in the next 5 years and that odds are good a decade will have gone by before this is anywhere near completion. Hell, most doubt it won't really be anywhere even by then.
There will be no sexual stuff in this update. Sensual perhaps but that's his thing as he has proven time and again.
Not yet, he might talk about changing things but the changes end up extending development time with less content released. So, we can either determine at this point he is either lying or is having way too much difficulty running a game with a story that has the scope of which would take a full development team to manage properly in a reasonable time like many other devs have done to achieve their goals.
He's only taking out redundant branches because many people have already expressed it's part of what is inhibiting him from progressing anywhere sensible. Some of us believe he did that deliberately considering how he dismissed any attempt to offer advice that he should have focused on the main story he was telling and saved the side stories for later as additional content to be added or as separate games as some other devs have done to keep their sub numbers up. He could have kept a few going rather than constantly adding more in, thus why as i stated, some of us believe he was doing it deliberately just to extend development time for the sake of money.
Considering how he started out in his first year, yep, that is precisely what people were expecting to happen after this many years of it being developed. That isn't an unreasonable expectation either. He's the one who shot himself in the proverbial foot when he kept increasing the length of development per update all the while claiming it would be the exact opposite to finish things at a quicker pace. He did this repeatedly and people kept calling him out for it. At least on here anyway. It took awhile before that started to happen over on his patreon.
Considering how things have been going, it will likely get worse. Hopefully that is an incorrect assessment but so far, nothing has changed for the better.
People here see quite a bit, it's a theme that constantly plays out with numerous devs from new ones to old ones. Heck, just look at how many constantly claim having a disease/illness that prevents them from completing their work that ultimately leads to a myriad of VNs being abandoned. That trash heap is a monument to lies and deception if you go sifting through that list and believe me, it's a long one.
Most websites outside of patreon are going to be more of a "wild west" in terms of how they provide criticism. A good majority of which, especially on here, should be taken from a constructive point of view. L&P has proven he doesn't handle criticism well, least of all constructive criticism. If he alters the game too much that it causes his development time to extend even further, a steam release is going to be a death blow that might very well make him abandon it outright considering how savage those neanderthals can be with criticism over there.

His goal is straightforward: maximizing profit with least effort. By reconstructing it he's catering to a much wider audience, simplifying his VN. That's why he began facelifting very first PD's a while back, having in mind that those renders looked terrible compared to the current ones and they could push away newcomers.
It's not about who plays AWAM but why it's so popular. He tried to appeal to almost all fetishes there are and that was a fiasco. Hence new approach. Incest rules here from now on with occasional side stories on the lines. Fans have been asking for a spicier content and faster updates. They've been heard: his statement about new norm with 200+ renders per event and a flood of pre-view pics from 0.195 confirms his intention. Once again, I'm awaiting for his plan for the upcoming renewed PD14 and his estimates to fulfill it.

Yes, many have been doing just that. No, they have not been heard. Until his development cycle changes to the point he actually releases content at a quicker pace as he has claimed so many times over the last several years, then i will believe he has heard his fans. From what this sounds like, he's found another possible way to hold up his development for a little while longer since he does pull in so many fools to throw money at him. In short, i'll believe it when i see it. That is a sentiment you're going to discover from a good number of people around here.

Well btw that was the only normal plot trope for Dylan was and he cut it out and added an alpha male MMA fighter ugly boy with the skin of a 40 year old male alcoholic, by completely changing the character's personality

I'm not his attorney, I see a guy who had found a goose laying golden eggs, grasping this opportunity and attempting to extract up until the last drop out of it. He doesn't need yours or anyone else's approval from the fanbase, period. He listens to the feedback and does as he sees fit. Can you tell me how many VN's have you made? Right-right ... Or what's your level of expertise in DAZ 3D, Blender etc. Yeah, not that difficult to guess.
It ain't about you, but concerns all of us with free advises. When complete amateurs start giving opinions about things we have close to null knowledge, that looks slightly exasperating for the opposing side.
Two options are always open: follow the unfolding comedy/drama/farce till it ends one way or another, or jump the ship and stop torturing yourself. You still here or it's time to move on? If we keep coming here after all, we wanna witness how it either gonna be smashed into pieces, fall into oblivion or rise as phoenix (highly unlikely, but preferibly).

Did you know that the Michelin Guide includes reporters, reviewers, company executives, etc.?
Did you know that game companies get feedback from regular players when they release their games?
