They just said what basically all the other negative reviews have said, if anything those two are quite nice compared to some other ones.

That said, this game has a 3.6 rating which is above average. If it progressed quicker, it would probably be in the mid/low 4 stars.

He complains that even though he took every filthy point he was blocked from filthy events! Which is absolutely not possible!!! So, ignoring the rotten lie and summarize the rest of the "review", his opinion is that it's a cool story but it takes too many renders to see some boobs and there's poor sex content. And this justifies a fucking 1 star rating???!!! Plus if you take a look at this dude's account you'll see that this review was his only activity here since he signed in 2 weeks ago. I mean, the people who write reviews on this site aren't professional reviewers. I'd say the large majority of reviews, both positive and negative, are generally very simple and not in depth at all. A lot of them are in broken english or state opinions that are clearly illogical so they barely even make sense.

No offense, I get it that this is your game and you obviously don't want to to be negatively reviewed, but you seem to be overreacting to this. Literally every game on this site has reviews like that, assuming the game has been around long enough to generate reviews. It isn't some conspiracy from the staff.

My name is Thrownaway13 and I am the community liaison. I essentially handle community related issues.

It seems there has been a bit of an uproar about one review in particular and a lot of theories are being thrown around. So I figured that I would peel back the curtain a bit and give you an idea as to why this review is allowed.

First and foremost, we don't want to have a barrier of entry to reviews. As was explained to L&P via PM.
We think everyone should have the opportunity to rate games. Be it a fresh fish or a salty dog. If we think there is some sort of mass attack on a dev we absolutely investigate and have caught this sort of thing before. Both positive and negative.

I wont tag the user in question because I think he should be able to lurk in peace. But I did take a look at his account and there is no indication that this is some sort of targeted attack. He has no alts that have reviewed this game or made a comment, positive or negative. He simply left a review and seems to lurk when he pleases.

You can check out our rules for reviews here. I even checked the character count to make sure it was right. There was no issue.

To take it a step further I checked other one star reviews for anything weird and nothing seemed odd.


We are always tweaking and refining the way we do things around here. When you run a site this big you have to. In this case though there is no grand conspiracy worth using 3 pages over. If we feel the review rules are wrong, they will be amended. For now though, we don't see an issue.

First, I want to congratulate you for this great VN. Despite of some negative ratings, your VN is one of the most popular here, it even has a very popular fan thread, which only few VNs have. There are pricks everywhere, not just here, I have seen polls being manipulated by trolls even in official news websites, that's unavoidable.

Rottentomatoes wrote a lot of bad reviews of Joker, saying that it promotes violence and glorifies it, and you think that the producers and filmmakers of that popular movie gives a shit about that? The fans loves it and that's what matters.

By the way, there's a great support in this site for your game, a lot of people promote it and the popularity is huge, try not to focus only in the negative. Your game traspass the barrier of ratings many time ago, they don't matter too much now.

There's always room for improvement. My favorite ratings site, for music and films, uses an ecuation in which the ones who have made more reviews have a bigger impact in the overall rating. Someone who only has made one review doesn't affect the overall rating the same as someone who has made 50 reviews. Because the one who has made several reviews has proven that he has known more works, so his criteria is wider.

L&P, I'm a massive fan of this game and also a patron. I don't know how much, if any, of the comments you've seen of mine in this thread, but I am a staunch supporter of this game for its engaging story, well-developed characters, and incredible renders. I understand your frustration with people posting these kinds of reviews, but coming here to a place which, in my view, is generally kind and favourable to you to rant in this way is not a good move.

Yes, a lot of people come to these games looking for a quick fap and not enough people have the patience or, in many cases, the intellectual capacity to appreciate a good and compelling story that builds towards the sex scenes in a meaningful way, but that is their issue, not yours. Don't let these people get to you and focus on the fact that you have many more people who support you and want to see both you and this game succeed.

At the risk of sounding like a hypocrite, I must confess that I too often get frustrated at the pace of the game and have at times in this thread expressed my wish to see some of the characters and story threads be reduced, particularly if doing so would help to speed up production and perhaps give us one or more full days per update. That being said, I am still a fan of the slow, meaningful build-up of the intimacy between Sophia and characters like Dylan, Ellie, Alyssa, etc, as it's a lot better than so many other games out there and really elevates the quality of this game, even if I would like it be streamlined a bit.

At the end of the day, what you're doing here is producing a quality game and you should be proud of it and not let the haters bring you down. The last thing anybody wants is for this game be abandoned because a few bad eggs who don't know what quality looks like make you want to pack it in. We want to see this get finished, and finished well, even if the thought of waiting 6-10 years is somewhat torturous.

So let's not worry about a few petty people posting angry reviews and keep working on a great game, OK?

Honestly L&P, and I mean this with the utmost respect, but you seriously need to just ignore that one review... you realize your game has 175 reviews, and is still sitting at a 3.5/5 stars right ? Especially for what the haters call a "blue-ball" simulator, thats fracking amazing !!

Milfy City that used to be this site's number 1 is getting dragged through the mud currently because ICSTOR is bored with it and trying to end it quickly, and decided to take multiple breaks... that went from a clear solid 5/5 to a 4.5/5 due to haters bashing the shit out of it.

Also keep in mind that users can actually change reviews later... if that guy is seriously only in it for the sex, once it starts coming he will probably come back and give it a 5 cause "Sophia is fucking garbage ugly males now YIPPY"...

Honestly if I had rated your game from when I played the first release (which was pretty big), I would have been one of those blind fanboys I know "despise" that give games a 5/5 on a v0.1.... However I refrained from doing that, cause I want to see your writing at the end as thats the most important aspect to me... plenty of devs can start their games epically, most every single one fucks up the ending...

If Sophia is acting so prudish right now at the end of 30 days I will find it moronic if "the flood gates have opened, no closing them now"... meaning she fucks one person she WANTS cause Liam is such a flake, doesnt and SHOULD NOT mean she would be willing to fuck ANYONE... Fucking Sam or Dylan or Ellie doesnt mean she out of fucking left field would want Ivan, or Aiden, or the gross fucking Janitor...

I am a patron of your game and I must say that the photo shoot and Sam's dream sequence where classy,erotic without looking trashy/slutty.The Navy and Floral bikini poses are still one of my favorites poses along with Aiden;'s first task when Sophia opened her blouse and leaned back onto the desk,she was fully clothes showing nice cleavage but it was such an erotic pose.Great work.Some of my favorite poses

Your renders are super high quality and incredible, L&P, a lot of people recognise that. But remember, there are always going to be those out there whose eyes are not so attuned to such things and cannot recognise such good quality. Some may even think that comparing 2 such high quality games is like comparing apples to oranges, with one being more superior to the other, but the truth is that both can often be just as good as each other, but in their own unique ways that are indistinguishable to most people.

So I wouldn't get too offended by people trying to compare your game to others because this is your style and your way of presenting your game and it's impressive. If some people can't wrap their heads around the idea that not every game should or has to look the same and that games can have entirely different looks whether by choice or by skill level, that is 100% their issue, just as it is with those who can't recognise a quality game and post a ridiculously petty review.

My idea is that L&P is now stucked in the development and is trying to distract the people attention from the fact that now are about 10 days without any progress in the creation process. Actually, I rant just at the F95 staff for their limply dealings with obvious fake reviews including verifiable lies. Nothing else.
I emphasized a couple of times before that I got nothing against criticism as long as it's reasonable. But people again twisting my words and put it the way as if I got something against opinions and can't handle criticism!
But now let's keep it that way.
And about the problem with the pace of development I will still broach on Patreon.
