We already know, from L&P, that this story won't end in a gangbang, as most teacher blackmail stories do. If Sophia gains control, takes the initiative, or ends up liking the tasks, it is no longer blackmail. It will be a series of sexually motivated, or influenced encounters. (That to me could be pretty tedious & boring, if they're necessary for progression). That she may end up enjoying the process has already been telegraphed in the unfolding of the first task. I don't want Sophia to unrealistically end up liking the tasks, which would stretch credulity to the limit, given what kind of uptight Puritan she was just a matter of weeks ago.
Surely one of the main features of games/VNs like this is that they can explore taboos & fantasies which are totally unacceptable in real life. I've lost track of the number of times I've written that they are like fairy stories for adults. Fairy stories for children are full of gruesome details, far worse than blackmail but they are widely accepted because most readers understand they're fantasies, as do the kids being read to. Even the details are crazy, e.g. does anybody want to go dancing in glass slippers? [Before anybody writes, I know that in the original tale of Cinderella they're not glass. Anybody want the full explanation, send me a pm].
Personally, I find incest to be a turn-off & so avoid it whenever I can but imagine if in the fictional world of San Alejo incest was socially acceptable & an unremarkable everyday occurence. Now, the question of whether the removal of the taboo would destroy the premise & purpose of certain storylines would, for me, have the answer, yes. I don't know if AWAM would then have as many fans but I'm guessing not. It also means that we could end it in the next couple of updates, "Let's have sex tonight Mom." "OK son, looking forward to it."
If Sophia is not going to be coerced into carrying out the tasks, why not get rid of Aiden, along with Bennett, right now. It would be easy & could simplify things a lot. This, to me, would be preferable to having Sophia take the initiative etc. It's a binary choice for me & it should either be genuine, or should disappear. Nevertheless, that's not how I think things are going to happen.
This game is mild by the standards of the genre it inhabits.....very mild. It needs blackmail to move things along, (however slowly). Aiden & Bennett have both achieved results. At present the Aiden blackmail storyline is not as ridiculous, by a big margin, as the driving across town for a shower & to pick up some filthy points episode. Once again I find myself defending the blackmail.

It's coz, you, Pa, is pretty damn old. I suppose, the major audience of AWAM is around 20-35 age range. This is the reason this game has become that popular. Milfy City is still #1 on F95 views-wise and the main theme is basically identical - incest.
L&P's hypothetical decision to get rid off this path equals to the jumping out the jet without chute. We aint talking only about Sophia/Dylan, but Sophia/Ellie and perhaps Ellie/Dylan. The hell would freeze first then this ever occurs. I've no clue when Sophia is gonna have some fun with her son's pecker, but Ellie supposed to be the first in-line. And that's happening early-mid 2023 at best.
We, as the MC, don't have to make a deal with any of them in the first place.

Those 2 are only additional means to get Filthy pts, as I see it. Aiden's bargain feels as unnecessary as a nursing home side job and the Casino Royale events. There are better ways to develop and unfold Sophia's character/storyline. Who knows, what if these 3 branches are the hottest one's, although my gut tells me quite the opposite.
And that's why you, me and other adequate representatives of this thread appreciate AWAM as it is. No need to mention the only real issue with it, none of us can make L&P to speed it up.
Gradual but inevitable depravation is a route to build up really strong bonds between actors of this play, as we are the directors of our personal shows, to a certain degree. And if Sophia goes bananas and commences acting improper to her character, I'd be slightly upset.

I believe there's even one Dylan event on playable day 13 that requires Sophia to refuse Aiden's deal.

Yep, that one. My point only being that accepting Aiden's tasks isn't even required for the Dylan route, let alone the Ellie, Sam or Patricia routes.

This game is not real. You know that right? It might as well be a fantasy novel. I trust L&P to make the story. There are things he likes and those end up in here. There are things he doesn't that won't.
Imagine complaining about realism when this game has a grown woman literally allowing her teen son and teen neighbor to see her nipples or show off in the kitchen.
I think the Aiden storyline is going to be good because I haven't been disappointed by anything yet. The people who chose that are the ones who want to see it happen, and L&P will make it good for those of us. Sophia might hate herself for liking it, or she might be in denial, but the itch some of us have will be scratched. From what I can tell, with Sophia's character, it will be something along the lines of not being able to help herself in the end, who knows.
It might affect the ending a lot, but so be it. I'll play through again with different choices.

Sophia is corrupt enough to ask the janitor for help to trap Bennett.
The janitor still owes Sophia one after all.
She asks him to film Bennett, blackmailing her.
You don't even have to show this whole plan.
Sophia, after fucking with Bennett, shows him the video.
There, she can tell him that she demands that he disappear from the city otherwise this video will be sent to the national education system. His life as a teacher will be over.
Bennett can try to threaten her and Sophia can tell him that it's his word against hers and that besides, she knows a very good lawyer.
Everything will be played by bluffing. Bennett will eventually agree and disappear.
End of Bennett's story.
Sophia will be able to thank the Janitor in a very nice way or a bonus
When you can't fight a system, you sometimes have to use it to your advantage and turn it against it.
And finally, result. We will have a Sophia who will have acted on her own, without influences.

Though I regret that Bennett didn't catch on with the fans as much as I would have liked & his potential might never be realised, yours is a plausible way to get rid. It also has the natural justice element of "the biter bit," which would feel fair. Perhaps if he were to go there'd be less reason to water down &/or alter the basis of the Aiden arc, which I see coming. At the same time those fans who can't stand seeing Sophia not in complete control of events should be happier, even though those who prefer blackmail to incest, like me, wouldn't be. Giggle! I know that - this is a game. And all of the actions in the game are not real.
But i'm real! And it's my choices that drive the game. I don't corrupt the MC. But myself
on the hunt for the next erotic event. For the next exciting picture, I'll throw my moral
and ethical principles overboard. Something that I would reject in normal life I allow myself
in the game. In the case of children, they say they should test themselves in play, experience
where the limits are.
We don't know any limits here, we don't want to know anything about limits - it's just a game.
But I can't get rid of how a woman would feel in such a situation. And I can't believe that she
is hiding the blackmail, enjoying the situation and thanking her blackmailer for it in the end.
If in the end there is "bloody" vengeance, then I agree with the story. But I don't think that's
going to happen that way.

I agree with you but, I admit that myself, it begins to annoy me to see Sophia acting under influences, never of herself.
Sophia needs that too. Her character needs that in her evolution.

Yes, there are times when I feel my years on this thread, despite being still around 27-30 in my own mind, the age at which most men's minds settle down. I believe the Dev to be in his mid-thirties & so in tune with what's popular. I've lived long enough to recognise that there are fashions in porn, as there are with clothes, furniture etc. (I won't even try to guess what will be 'the next big thing' after incest). I know I'll never take to it, breaking the taboo or not. I won't bore anybody with the "in my day" story but let's just say that incest was such a taboo topic that it didn't even appear in porn. Yep, not even in stuff from actual porn dealers, so it's not really surprising that those of 'advanced years' are less likely to find it erotic. I don't advocate abandoning it, however, as that would damage the Dev's bottom line & threaten the very existence of the game.
Popularity is one reason why we never see anybody having to defend the incest content in AWAM. Incest has become taken for granted in the gaming world. This also speaks to the probable correctness of the majority age range of fans that you mention. (There seems to be a large & vocal minority of under-18s also).
There's huge scope in this game for a number of different paths to be pursued & I hope that will continue. So, here's to monthly updates & a deluge of spoilers!
