It's this. There's no question to the render quality, it's there, it's high. The story isn't bad but we're clearly going around in circles, adding characters as we go so Sophia only gets boned in 2030, and the game will probably be abandoned by them.
Maybe it's a question of milking (which I think it is), maybe he's absolutely tired of working on the same project, alone, for 4 years, but this pace is very bad.
Exactly. I'm not saying he sucks at what he does or anything like that. AWAM as a concept is good! The problem is the development (or lack thereof) and how transparently needless it is. It serves one purpose and it's not releasing the best story possible in any manner of time, let alone his schedule.
I also do actually question whether he is just sick of it at this point. The money is clearly terrific but maybe he'd rather do anything else? If that's the case, that's fine! Start a 2nd VN and alternate at a faster pace or go work a normal 9-5 job or end AWAM or whatever. I don't care beyond the absolute fact that what he's doing now is wrong. It really is wrong on a moral level.
Let's be real here, it's a Friday/Saturday and guys are on here to jqck-off to 3D rendered models. I'm here, too so it's not like I'm the bastion of "cool" lol. Point being that if you're here you're likely a lonely person.
So what he's doing is taking the money of lonely men and delivering nothing. Quite actually dangling a carrot on front of them that they will never get and I don't think the hardest of supporters realizes that they'll never get it! Ever. He will abandon this story if you stop paying and he'll do it before you see her fuck someone you want to see her fuck even if you keep paying. I guarantee that much. This isn't his art, a story he must tell. This is clearly his retirement plan.
And that's wrong. I'm not looking for loads of morality on a forum for pirating porn games (lol) but what he's doing is immoral. To then tell supporters that he can't hire help to speed up the process is a lie so awful that I almost respect it's brazen-ness. It's that comical of a lie.
I don't even play the VN after a couple years ago...and it's no further along now than it was then. Two years of collecting those funds for, what, 20 minutes of story? It bothers me enough to see people being taken so brazenly that I feel compelled to write this despite knowing his supporters and/or mods will delete it under claims of "trolling" when I'm being sincere.
AWAM is, IMO, the worst thing on this site because of what it represents and is REALLY about. It's goal is not storytelling. It's not a passion project that he's happy to be getting paid for. I know those when I play them. No, AWAM is fn sinister at this point lol
