Yeah, sorry :) I guess I'm just a little stressed out at the moment! It was really not my intention to attack you. It was meant more generally that faster and better hardware could speed things up a lot. But this has just its prize. I also got my own strategy of working which fits best for this game and the amount of text. But I will find a way to release next update (0.025) faster. next to releasing a half a day. I don't know if I should start a poll on my patreon site at all, for releasing updates for a playable half a day, or just doing it. Cause some supporters said they don't mind longer waiting time if content is sufficient.
I would suggest that if you were to implement a change in release schedule that you do the poll first. Getting the opinion of the people supporting you financially is always a good idea IMO, even though it can be a double edged sword.

That said, stick to your vision for the game since it is ultimately your brainchild, and I personally like the way it is going at the moment.

Actually I find this kind of attitude kind of healthy. I really prefer to play a game with extreme quality each 3 months rather than play a mediocre VN each month. It would be much better for every player if devs weren't so Patron addicted. I think half a day update each month might be a fine solution if it brings same quality but update per 3 months isn't really that bad in my opinion.
I have to agree here as well, I would rather wait longer for a proper update, than a monthly update that adds at most 5 minutes worth of gameplay to the game. The 4-6 week updates coming out for most games lately all seem to be shorter and shorter everytime, almost like the devs are in a competition trying to see who can get away with doing the least work in the most time and still retain their supporters.

Yup, it's not synonymous but it usually adds to overall quality. Same scene made out of 3-4 renders (pretty standard amount) will be objectively worse than scene made out of 50 or more renders most of the times (always?).
Not necessarily. There are plenty of games wherein an excess of renders was mere bloat to cover up the thinness of the story. This was an issue for the RPGM version of this game, where you were made to do way too many mundane and irrelevant things to get from one plot point to the other. It gets frustrating. (No, I do not want to find your boots whenever you want to leave the house...) The Ren'py version conceals much of this because you don't need to walk from one point to the other, but the danger remains.

It is always, in the end, about balance. Good detail is immersive, but excessive detail is just authorial masturbation (at best), or mere padding to hide a bland story (at worst). There must be a balance between detail and pace.

You can always get at least one more person to help you, you will lose some money but you'll get more patreons so really you wont loose nothing.

I have played the "demo", the content and the quality are just amazing for a 0.1. I've hardly never seen so much and so well done on a first release.
When I read the reviews here, I tell myself that while some are constructive, some are not even worthy of a 10 years old child. Maybe some do not have much more ...

Now, personally, I think the levels are a little too expensive for a start. Put $15 or $30 for a newcomer we do not know, it can make cringe. And $10 is clearly a "low tip" level rewards.
Those who earn a lot are those who have been working for a long time, tirelessly, against all odds, and to whom we say not only "go ahead, keep going" but also "thank you for everything you have already done".

And yes, I saw the quality of the renders, it is useless to remind me every day that you do quality work :winkytongue:

@Lust&Passion , I hope you understand for the sake of your peace of mind when you are a creator of art, no matter what it is and how good it is there will be always people who will criticize it in all sorts of (often unreasonable) ways. This has always been the case for even the most brilliant artists
It's comments like these that genuinely have me in stitches.

The dude is making a porn game, he's gonna have the mother (Daz3d render) inevitably getting gang banged by some black bulls (Daz 3D renders) as her Daz 3D rendered Son watches in horror with some Russian tier translated text explaining it all to us.

Having you paint the creator of all of this as some sort of a modern day Leonardo Da Vinci is truly comedy gold.

Never change f95zone, never change.

Art is very subjective term. For thousands of years humanity has created tons of different orgy/bestiality/whatever fetish you pick scenes, that are called an art. Adult game can be easily called an art if there is enough people to support this claim. In case of this game it has some potential to achieve that as it's definitely not simplistic but only time will show how artistic it is. It's definitely easier to claim such a thing with a game that's not straightforwardly porn.

@wewlad , you have a point about people vastly exaggerating when commenting such games. And that's mostly the authors' fault. In their desire to make their work look special, they omit, or downright lie about the simplicity of their games. I always get on edge when devs of RPG Maker games talk about coding, when there is obviously no coding involved in their games. Or lately every DAZ based game uses Stimuli's stock animations, and when someone compliments them all they give back is a thank you. What are you thanking for? You just took the guy's work and loaded it in the program... ugh.
I disagree about you claim that using DAZ Studio automatically makes your work generic. There are many very talented artist who use DAZ Studio out there.

I am glad I could offer you a good laugh.

There is absolutely no reason to say a game like this is not or can't be art. It is meant to showcase great beauty to the player and is expression of creativity and the human soul. Like I stated earlier sexuality is not a dumb impulse but has an very intelligent basis and is intertwined with all parts of our being. It is beautiful and plays a very important part in human relationships and human life and to capture and showcase some of the depths of that beauty is art in it's purest form. Sex is never just about sex but there is always a deeper story behind it that have it's roots in the hidden depth of the human minds. Go read a book or watch a movie or tv show that is considered art by most and there is good change you will find sex and sexuality play a part in the story that is told. Why do you think that is?

Also look at these gorgeous models and tell me that it is not art

Yes, you're absolutely right! Daz Studio does not create scenes by itself. It's all the artist's vision! It's like painting a picture but instead of brush and paint you are using your mouse and keypad! To create an awesome picture you have to know much about the program and the usage of light, poses physiques, surface/texture editing etc. (98% of the ready models/props/environments are not very well elaborated and need some manual refinement!) and have an artistic vision of how a beautiful, natural scene has to look like and where preferably position the cam! Also some Photoshop re-machining is needed for a really great result! There are some astonishing and beautiful daz studio render works out there (not in games!) which needs serious talent and artistic skill to be created like that! What concerns the stimuli animations: yeah, you are just using the work of someone else. BUT: why devs use them is cause creating animations yourself takes some time and also some movement physiques understanding. Actually just for me, creating own animations isn't difficult but time-consuming. You can just watch a video of how for example a body is moving and try to copy this movement step by step to Daz Studio. That's why I will use animations for the really important scenes only, predominantly erotic ones of course.

Just to clarify things, I'm not saying that using stock animations is a bad thing. I'm saying taking credit (even silently) for something you didn't do is low. And I'm definitely not referring to you, just the scene in general.
Animating is not that hard, but DAZ Studio doesn't have the proper tools, which makes the process more complex and time consuming. And exporting characters, animating in another software and then importing in DAZ Studio is a pain in the ass.

@JakeStr , only 0.1 so far. 0.2 is scheduled for release at the end of the month. It's definitely worth playing if you like slow buildu, with lots of teasing and suggestive content. If you're looking for sex scenes, I'd say wait some more.

just finished my first playthrough, and WOW this game has potential. Even though this didn't even have any sex scenes, it was an exciting experience. I think the degree of detail is perfect, we get to know the characters and experience everything in as much detail as possible, would hate for it to be cut shorter. Love how each relationship is set up, especially with neighbor and his son. Really excited to see what school will bring. Keep up the great work!
