I have the same issue, I believe it will be addressed in the next update, as in the boss path as well in some cases there are only words and no scenes.

Why would they do that? It would nullify their rewards for supporting the dev. No duct tape needed because there are no leaks. You can play something else for while and just keep an eye on things until this updates.
