You have to try this game to believe the amazing mechanics implemented, Giving tough competition to other games in same genre. Only thing that can be improved is some English translations and introduction of new story scenes. Recommend this game to give it a try and support the creator. :)

This game is great. It's easily more interesting than Girl Life for the simple fact that it's really a sandbox where you can do whatever you want and are not locked in one content (school for GL, cause other than school that game is barren).

Compared to other QSP games, this focuses on complete random gen. Everyone is generated, there basically are no persistent characters (except for your family who you can't interact with anyway). This is both a good and a bad thing though. This means many encounters have many different feels. Characters feel different at first glance. But that's also just on the surface level. There are basically 3 personalities with some light nuances you only see while in a relationship with them. Since there are no fleshed out persistent characters, they don't really have much depth in them. Meaning, they feel like faceles people, like a generic nobody. I think there should be some more important characters that actually have story behind them. They can be randomly generated, but they need some story elements. For example, in many games like this, you can be a maid to some rich guy and experience events there. This does not happen here. Most jobs don't have events at all (except for some "this dude wants your phone number") type of encounters. Even more fleshed out jobs like the Office job only have like two events on repeat. There is no real progression. Even stuff you learn enables you to get the very same job, but with better payout. Example the office again. You can be a secretary without any degree, or you can be an assistant or a specialist which both only offer better payouts, cause the gameplay is exactly the same, nothing changes, the workplace is a copy paste. And your boss is just a random faceless dude you can sleep with, but it doesn't even get you anything, cause there is no progression or events. Which is the biggest flaw of the game. There is no depth in encounters or work. There are many options, but each only serve as a different money making method and most of them don't have events at all yet.

So as much as this game is great, it lacks a lot of depth. It's spread a bit too thin everywhere. But it's not as grindy as other games like this (like GL where you literally just spam school interactions everyday to farm relationship points for frikking months to get a single 5 minute long event that might as well just not happen since it changes nothing anyway...)

All and all a good game, but needs more content and depth in what's already in there. Introducing new things (jobs etc.) instead of fleshing out what's already in there would not be productive right now. Hope the devs understand this. Cause literally the only thing holding it down is the lack of depth.

First off I see there are a lot of comparisons between this and Girls Life. I can see why, however, whilst they are similar in some ways namely the same format in QSP and both derived from the same source they have gone in very different directions and offer a different experience. With GL some of the NPCs have scripted paths which you can explore and multiple jobs and sports etc the main focus is school and university. The city content is, as yet pretty small. About It on the other hand focuses on the MC who's left home and she now needs to make her way in the big city. There are a multitude of career paths you can choose from which are well written and presented. Relationships in About It are also generated by the player's actions; so if the MC chats to more female characters there will be more females available to the player to chat with and vice-a-versa.
It is a life sim and in my view deals with it very well; namely clothes get dirty and need washing etc. They can also wear out so have to be either thrown away or replaced. As this won't be to everyone's tastes the cheat menu lets the player switch this function off. It also lets you switch on or off fatigue, sweating, hunger, thirst etc.
Whilst not complete there's a large amount of well constructed content which, if this is your sort of game should be enjoyable.
For me there are many positives and they far outweigh the negatives.
So to the stuff that I'd suggest could be made better:
The translation into English isn't great but quite understandable so not a big issue.
It also mixes up the he and she when chatting with a GF. Again not a big issue.
It would benefit from an improved wardrobe with more options and maybe enabling the player to split between cheap stuff for general wear and the fashion clothes when you want the MC to look her best.
For me the biggest improvement would be to use more short clips for important events. There are some for the home exercises but surprisingly not for sex with the MC's BF, (there are some good ones with a GF). As more clips have been added instead of pictures for events this her greatly enhance the game.
A big thank you to the developer and please keep up the good work.

I have been playing this game for a year, until I decided to make my own. This is so impressive. The best sandbox experience in QSP.

The only downside of this game is that it uses static images instead of GIF or MP4.

Review from 21 of May 2023

I've been playing Girl Life for almost a year and a half. I played About It a few times (a few hours each), but somehow it never managed to attract me for longer.
Lately I've noticed that they're adding more and more stuff. So its ok, but this is not enough for me a female player.
But About It is soulless. There are no side Quests, of which there are plenty in Girl Life. Descriptions of environments, locations, dialogues with NPCs... that's what About It doesn't have. It's like eating good looking food, but without taste.
It is a few things that really annoys me in the game.

I don't like the character creation system, like in the wardrobe menu, any selection of options automatically takes me to the top of the screen, where I have to scroll down the screen. It's terribly irritating.
As if it couldn't be broken down into sections.
I don't like the annoying background change colour during the time of day. But what annoys me the most about About It is that the wardrobe only has 5 sets of clothes. It is completely poorly designed - unfriendly interface. Every time I choose an outfit, the list scrolls up and I have to scroll down again and again and again. It's terribly tedious, especially when we have a whole lot of clothes. In Girl Life I can have around 100 favorites clothes in my Wardrobe. In About It only 5 or so.
With 100 favorite sets of clothes assigned in Wardrobe, I can classify them by type of use, i.e. Work, School, Date, Sport, etc. I can also sort these classifications by season and weather. So Cool Summer Long skirt with long sleeves, Hot Summer mini dress with a blouse with a large cleavage on straps. Long pants/shorts.
So having even 100 favorite sets of clothes seems insufficient over time, but at least it helps to somehow organize the fashion of our PC. At 5 sets in Wardrobe as it is in About It, I am speechless. I don't know where to start and where to end when choosing clothes.
The main interface is also poorly designed, it has a bunch of important stats, just hidden somewhere under another icon/menu.

I admit that I like the system of work in About It, how we do work like in Offfice, the way how we looking for the job and spend time in it, the fact that we can meet Random NPCs in the building where we live and build relationships with them.
    I like the laundry system.
GL doesn't have these things, but that's pretty much it for About It.
Personally, I think it's too much of a guy's thinking game... but can I blame the Guys making the game mostly for guys?

So, as a female player... is not my intention to give negative review but About it is just Average game which is Ok.
But this is only my opinion of "taste". I love reading books so maybe that why GL who have more reading content I like more.
But... Who knows, maybe that will change in About it. But that why with lack of side Quest and not much text content About It gets bored quickly and cant't keep me for longer.

This is the reason why I honestly give 3 out of 5 stars.

    Revier 9 August 2023
One day I wrote a review about this game, where I gave 3 stars. I wrote in my review that this game has never been able to keep me hooked for longer.
After quite a long time I came back to the game to check what has changed etc etc.
So this is what my 5-10 minutes in the game looked like after about 8 months off from the game..... I came by train... I went looking for an apartment which I got for 4000 rubles a week. A bare apartment with nothing ... for a week!!! Ok, now I have to find a job... I emphasize that I chose, the profile of a girl who graduated from school and came to the "big" city in search of success, career, happiness and studying at uni... call it what you want. Anyway, without a profession, etc etc. I'm looking for a job... Waitress, saleswoman, maid, aka the job of a common man. work from 8 am to 10 pm or from 10 am to 10 pm for 400-500 rubles, minimum 4 days a week... even if I wanted to 7 times a week (but it's not life anymore, just vegetation) = 3500 rubles a month. I can't even afford the bills, and if I want to buy some food, clothes, etc., etc. ... Total drama - complete lack of balance ... even if I wanted to sell a kidney, I don't know if I could live in such a world somehow.. . Seriously ?
Firstly, I'm downgrading the reviews from 3 stars to 1. Secondly .... It's a waste of time for this game. Once you play Girl Life... you'll never want to come back to this game. This is the honest truth.

It's like Girl Life, even to the point of using the same engine. No points for originality, but hey, if it works don't fix it? Another take on that genre isn't necessarily bad.

Some of the Russian is badly translated, though, and a few bits aren't translated at all. But the save system works properly, so just save your game when you encounter such spots for the first time and reload if you made a blind choice you didn't want.

The men aren't as pushy as they should be, though. They actually feel like their decisions are randomly made, instead of designed to get into your pants and potentially knock you up. Of course the men may not be thinking in terms of impregnating you, but they have no problems using condoms, and in fact they all seem to be packing them and even prefer them. It doesn't feel realistic.

I'm concerned about overreach in this game. It's designed as an open sandbox, but so many games try to do everything great that they fail at it all. On the other hand, at least the dev is responsive.

There's also some tedium involved in what you have to do from day to day. It would be great to be able to record and repeat a daily routine. Of course, that's easier said than done, but still.

The first star in any review is guaranteed, so is worth 0 points to me, but the game itself still scores 3 of the remaining 4 stars: I think it's worth checking out.

I don't understand why there are so many downvotes. The game is often updated, yes with bugs, but they are quickly fixed. The feedback is good, the bugs I described were fixed, and suggestions were considered. The authors follow their vision of the project, while taking into account the wishes of the players.

TOO MUCH busy work, some frustrating examples:
    - Clothes get soiled and damaged then have to be washed and repaired.
-You have to eat AND drink, whereas most games would lump both together.
-Dishes get dirty which you have to clean otherwise you can't eat.
-Soap runs out so you have to buy more if you want to clean.
-WAY too many clicks to get anywhere with a car: enter car -> start engine -> select location -> exit car.

In general the user experience SUCKS. Some of the above could be fixed if the dev added a cheat mode similar to Girl's Life and FemLife, but the UX needs serious revamp.

TLDR: This game does NOT respect your time, so don't WAASTE yours.

I played THIS game and there are moments where the game copies GirlLife AND has its own chips, but I don’t like its chips in this game at all. I think about the soiling of clothes, whether they are dirty, how much absorption of a tampon, pads, I, as an ordinary player, do not really care. In real life, yes, it's important, but it's a GAME. Why should I choose a position at 18+ to change it, etc. if it's boring, but interesting at first, but then when there's nothing without it, it infuriates. Unlike GirlLife itself is sand, the world is not well developed. The game has its own mechanics but it does not work well.

Do not waste your time playing with a globally outdated concept in which you have to make sure that the heroine eats on time and goes to the toilet, showers and baths, changes worn-out panties, etc. Believe me, these are not the things that normal players expect from gameplay. Not to mention tons of bugs. Even the clothes obtained at the start of the standard game are pretty well-worn. And it's impossible to change clothes because of a bug. And this is at the very start.

its getting closer and closer to a truly immersive simulation. There's obviously more work to be done but the devs have shown a commitment to putting in the work thats needed. F da haters this game rules

Great game! Developing at a rapid pace. Updates every week. Big city, different situations, variety of choice of clothes, cars. You can customize the character to your liking. The main thing is not to forget in this game.

I've been a huge fan of russian game "ETO" and "Province girl", because they were something new and quite big. After that people tried to milk "ETO"'s core for money buy producing a bunch of clones.
This game is the same. No new concept, tons of bugs, dead ends, and... damn, you even didn't change most of these pictures from the game you took as your base!
Girl life, province girl, Albedo - they are much more pleasant to play.
As I see from the code, dev took abandoned "Simgirl" project, which was quite a mess and more complicated than original "ETO". Dev didn't change core mechanics and just left those hard unplayable lifesim moments, which were the main problems of it's core game. Why not making game more playable and less overcomplicated? People coming here to enjoy, and the way this game is keeping it won't become possible.
And as you can guess, this project will follow the same trail - endless development and patrons milking, then abandoned at the end.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to play this more than once, because nothing significantly will be changed.

Sandbox with lots of options, huge potential. Freedom of things to do is huge. There are regular updates, author of the game is actually listening to his fans and tries to fix bugs and considers the ideas of others to improve the game.

This game has everything that Girl Life is missing. I don't know the size of the team making it but I doubt it's more than the number of contributors GL has. The dynamic systems are amazing, they work so well. I also like the fact that during sex more options show up when you get more experienced. I love the flow of the game, the way it's heading. It's really a porn The Sims type of deal and I love it.

I think this game has less content than Girl Life (not by much) but I honestly think it's more polished and in-depth in all the right places. I know this is in active development but I trust this dev so much right now. This is really pushing QSP to its maximum.

I must say, I start to enjoy this game very much.
At first I was quite sceptical about this game, that this is only another clone of Girls Life with nothing now to bring.
But I was wrong, this game have a lot new to offer. For example relationship/dating system is much better then in GL, also sex scene it self are much enjoyable, and it is much less grinding then GL.
Even if it yet lacking so many locations, which I were enjoing to discover in GL. It have much more work true those which it already have. And honestly most locations in GL was only one event things..
And finally, I belive this have much more yet to offer if developers will continue at same speed as they doing now with monthly updates.
Congratulations for good work, and godspeed guys.

This game is similar to Girl Life, although it has a long way to go yet. It mainly shows how difficult it is to make a game as well-developed as Girl Life. There is a great deal that could use development, such as improved reminders for things like job schedules, more interesting jobs, and many other details that take a long time to code properly. In comparison, Girl Life works much more smoothly and seems considerably more interesting. This is a promising framework, but so far it is mainly a framework.

It is truly entertaining. The true quality that stands out in this simulator is that it gives you a lot of freedom once you start your game, starting from scratch and climbing depending on the lifestyle you want your girl to want her to lead. Perhaps at first it is difficult to understand the orientation and commands of the interface and other things; But it is like any simulator, once you join in, it brings you into the character you control. It still has things to add and fix, but it is going very well, surpassing other similar simulators with notable advantages due to (I go back and repeat) its freedom of progression and personal immersion.

It has an actual link to shady porn website within the game. Be careful of what you click within the game.
Otherwise it's a mediocre clone of "ETO", and "Girls Life" is a way better one. Other clones at least have advanced settings, and here it's as rudimentary as can be.

This game is a 6-7/10, but honestly it's an emotional rollercoaster of enjoyment, frustration and boredom that somehow still leaves a positive impression on me. If you like QSP games or can tolerate them, this one is worth at least checking out.

Personally, I kinda like QSP games, they're the B-rated movies of NSFW games: you know there's going to be jank sprinkled everywhere, but you come to love it.

I'm usually disappointed in life sims because there's not enough content, but here I am still stuck somewhere at the beginning by the looks of it. The game allows you to progress little by little, so whenever I almost start to get bored by it, I find something new.
This is probably the largest life sim I've seen yet. There is a lot of SFW content, and the obligatory grind seems decently balanced: it has structure, it doesn't take up all of your time if you get into the rhythm, there is a feeling of progression even though the author decided to make it extra realistic and have stuff like month-long internships. Honestly, this game needs a full SFW mode (and some polish), because it's a decent game to play in the background.

The NSFW content is relatively easy to get to, but it varies. On some playthroughs, I would meet a neighbor NPC and quickly get to the sex scenes, on others I would spend weeks doing SFW stuff (which I didn't mind) and have no acquaintances because all the NPCs would ignore me, so I wouldn't see anything besides masturbation scenes.
There still aren't that many pictures and .gifs, and at least one of the gifs is starting to corrupt.

But the way this game handles navigation is just painful.

The amount of places and actions is overwhelming. There is nothing to guide you, you are just thrown out on the streets of a big city. There is a list of all unique locations for every city region, but it's somewhere in the settings and it doesn't describe what is actually in these locations. Other than that you have no choice but to explore. That almost sounds fun, but you have to do it in a game that wants you to find a place to sleep, punishes you for being dirty and gives you barely any money at the start. So several of your first characters are going to be throwaways that you'll use to figure out what is even going on in this game.

Combine that with the extra jank and extra "realism", and the game can become especially frustrating even on first actual playthroughs.
There are so many ways to get food, but you probably won't use any of them except for buying groceries and cooking at home, because there is no reward for eating junk food. But all the options are still there and take up space.
Learning skills takes so much time I started to think that learning is bugged and I don't actually progress, since there is absolutely no indication of progress. If you don't have a level in a skill, it's not shown in the stats at all. And you have to spend a lot of in-game time learning some skills, literally hours, because that's how it works in real life.
There are attributes in this game, like strength, agility, etc. I honestly have no clue what they mean, because I've yet to encounter any situation that requires you to have a certain attribute value or something similar. They just go up if you make them go up, that's it. Maybe they are required somewhere later in the game.

Excessive realism is a quirk this game has, but it's realism for the sake of realism combined with extreme Russian-ness. It's not even pure Russian-ness, it's the zeitgeist that especially drags it down. You can tell that this game was made about 15 years ago, and has accumulated things that were normal for its time.
For example, for Eastern and Southern regions of the city, most items that you need are sold at markets.
Now, I am a Russian. I've lived in Moscow, the city that this game simulates, for about ten years now, in the regions that I've mentioned. Never in my life have I gone to a fucking market in Moscow, because there are stores everywhere. Stores with groceries and household supplies, bookstores, supermarkets, or shopping centers. These stores are what I expect from any game with a modern setting, at least in form of a single shopping center, because that's just how modern life is. And this game has shopping centers, but only in some regions. And they have less items than the said markets. Why?
This is technically a very minor thing, but it genuinely threw me off, because of how I (and probably most other players) imagine real life depictions.

At the same time, some things are up to date, like the exchange rate (yes, this game has RUB/USD exchange), most prices are modern. So at this point it's like an alternate reality of "what-if" Russia that doesn't exist in real life. So even if you are Russian, you will trip over what is normal for you, because of stereotypes and norms of Russian life more than a decade ago.
