About it v0.99.5_07.07
- Game version has been changed to "0.99.5"!!!
- Automatic saves and saves from the game menu work again. The problem of an error message appearing during an automatic save, which was often encountered when starting a new game in previous versions, has been resolved. To start the game no longer requires an archive, which necessarily had to contain a folder “Save”. The saved files will now be located in the same folder where the game files are located.
- Having studied all your wishes and recommendations, we have made a new NPC editor, which allows the player to get access to about 30 basic parameters that affect the behavior of NPCs and their decision-making. The new editor will also allow you to fully customize NPCs as you see fit. By changing the parameters of NPCs in the group, the player will also be able to influence the current plot and create conditions for the realization of their desires.
- In addition, the new editor will allow the player to change the description of NPCs and make their own distinctive features that will help to easily recognize and distinguish them from other characters.
- For those who had a chance to familiarize themselves with the new character editor earlier, we would like to inform you that we have fixed the exit from the editor. If a player starts editing a character by selecting them from the list of familiars in the MC stats, they will be returned to the stats again, rather than the empty list of NPCs that are available to interact with them at that moment.
- For now, the new editor doesn't allow you to change roommates, so you'll need to customize your favorite or favorites first before roommating. We will try to still add the ability to edit roommates relying on your support and recommendations.
- While working on the new character editor we had to make changes to their display and how to access their descriptions, which have not been changed for a long time. This was necessary for a more stable operation of game mechanics related to the storage of NPC databases.
- We also had to partially redesign the game mechanics of dating for some locations c taking into account the changes in game mechanics that form the behavior of NPCs and allow access to their descriptions.
- Made a new game mechanic for introductions when the MC is working in a store or market. Added the ability to meet female NPCs.
- Made a new game mechanics of acquaintance when the MC works in the medical field. Meet patients and coworkers in a separate location.
- Made a new game mechanics of exchanging phone numbers with NPCs.
- Those of you who have already familiarized yourself with the game know that MC can simultaneously develop relationships with about 100 NPCs, which are not prescribed in the game in advance and are generated as the event horizon shapes the plot of the game individually according to the preferences and actions of each player. Given the fact that among the NPCs saved to develop relationships are those NPCs who have exchanged phone numbers with her and those whose phone numbers the MC does not know but knows their address and can visit them, this is not quite as easy to implement as it might seem when playing the game. The original mechanics of NPC accounting was designed for only 3 characters and since that time it has not changed significantly. As you can see we made a huge step forward with your help, which led to various paradoxes and bugs, as the old mechanics were not designed for this. After adding a new NPC editor to the game, this problem became even bigger and we had to redo the game mechanics of saving and keeping track of NPCs with whom the MC wants to develop a relationship in search of his soulmate.
- When creating the new game mechanics of saving and accounting for NPC data we had to completely rebuild the entire game, making a huge number of changes to other mechanics that allow the MC to interact with NPCs. All of this took a large amount of time, but we had no other choice. Every day we receive more and more suggestions and wishes from you for further development of the game, which requires more thorough foundations and not simple solutions.
- Continued experimenting with the game mechanics of peeking at groups of NPCs who interact with each other and are near the MC during the fun. The first problem was that peeking at other NPCs was only possible if the MC was participating in the fun. The second problem was that the NPCs would end up doing the fun at the moment the MC ended the fun. The third problem was that the NPCs who chose their partners would refuse to have fun if the MC didn't want to participate. As you can see it all looked absolutely absurd. In addition, MC could see no more than 4 groups of NPCs, when their number and preferences formed many more couples and groups willing to have fun together. But how to solve all these problems, given the individual character of each NPC and their preferences? It seemed absolutely impossible, but we kept searching for solutions, rewriting the basic fun mechanics over and over again.
- Now, if the MC refuses to participate in the fun, and the NPCs have already chosen their partners from among other NPCs, and it happens in an apartment or hotel, the MC will only have to watch their fun, and her potential partners will find others or join some fun group. This looks fantastic.
- If the MC finishes having fun, the NPCs will not stop and will continue their interactions with other NPCs.
- In addition to this new game mechanic of NPC accounting allows you to observe everyone involved in the fun, and they interact with each other according to their preferences.
- As we created new mechanics and rewrote old ones, we ran into more and more problems and paradoxes. I tried to tell myself to stop and convince myself that it was impossible. Hope was replaced by despair, days turned into seconds. There was simply no strength to rejoice at the first positive tests, but you are hardly interested in that, because the new version of the game is now in front of you.
- Various fixes, improvements and edits.
Thank you so much for YOUR help and support!!!
