For example: in seas 1, you have the option for the MC to 'peep or not' on Taylor. I chose not. About 90 seconds later, Taylor accuses the MC of peeping on her and he lies and says he did (despite the choice not to peep I literally just made). It's like that throughout the game.

But hey, maybe the dev just wasn't that good at Renpy. Surely they improved with season 2! I mean, there's no way someone would keep pumping out low-quality material without trying to improve, right?

Thanks you for your comments and interest in the project, yes, this is my first renpy game and there is much room to improve. The choice you use as an example in ep. II becomes clear later on when Ty's driving, (although you might have missed it). But hey, I understand if you just want to look at the pwetty pictures and skip the complicated text!

To be completely honest, I didn't even knew what NTR was when I released the first episode. I found out in here. To me it made sense the sister was, lets say, very freely in sharing her body, the same way MC does get it on with everything that has a pulse.

In my mind, it makes sense since they are both outsiders in this world. On the other hand, some of the other female "romanceable" characters that are native to the world are more sexualy liberated that women in the real world, and as such they feel free to engage in casual sex with the MC but not necessary with other people. In my mind and in my notes about MC and the world of ATL this has a reason to be. That said, some of the characters will be presented options to engage in sexual acts with others while in a relationship with the MC, but not all of them, since I want to offer the players variety. After reading again your post, I think it would be nice for me to to include a sort of NTR warning / skipping part for people not to stumble into something they don't wanna see or play in my next version release in december.

Nah man, Netorare is tagged in the game thats enough. Sure a bit of what to expect would be nice, but people can and do use the search function. The only thing what might be missing is a note that NTR is not avoidable, as this is mostly the problem here, at least on this thread... as it always is. Im not sure how its still possible people not really knowing what NTR or its meaning is, despite we live in the year 2024 while beeing bombared with NTR porn from all cardinal directions lol.

The other thing is the Harem, or your version of it as its not compatible with NTR. I mean you can try like the rest did, but the folks dont see eye to eye with the cuckhold fetish. Hence the whole "she just fucks other dudes but she loves the MC" dosent fly, never did and never will. It makes sense in your eyes as the creator of the story, but not for the players who have a Ick on this scenes.

In the end from what I read they are just fuck toys for the MC and he dosent see as being cucked, but its not really what the player expect. On the other hand, folks who dont mind it will not mind it, and then you have the opposide who enjoy their love interests being fucked by other dudes. Which seems to be your paying subs so you should cater to them if they keep paying you. But of course its up to you if you agree with them eye to eye with your vision.

The last thing. Just make a "skip" option wont fix anything, it will make them even more angry lol. So dont waste time or your resources on it. Trust me, many before you did and failed, many do and still fail while other after you will try and fail too. The only possible outcome is where you make it avoidable, as like many devs do since it allows for satisfying both sides...but its time consuming. That would be my common recommendation, especially since AI is being used here. HOWEVER:
- In this scenario I would not recommand it, as it seems its also not your thing either as also you dont relly know about the common "whats allows and what not". It would proably only annihilate the fans who enjoyed the game in the first place.

First of, thank you for elaborating on your response, it really opened my eyes and made me wonder how to implement mechanics that makes the game enjoyable for everyone without betraying my vision for the characters. Right now I don't have those answers, but I firmly believe there is a middle ground where supporters can enjoy the content without the game itself alienating new players who might not be into NTR. I guess what I most value from this exchange is that made me realize people shouldn't start a game, play for a few hours and suddenly 'stumble' into content they won't like or will offend them, and thats something as a dev I need to work on on my next release. The hard way to do it:
- Make it completely avoidable and have the story split to accommodate the divergent paths. This times the amount of NTR paths you have or are planning.

The easy way to do it:
- Don't let characters talk about their or other characters fucking someone other than MC, unless the player explicitly has NTR turned on in the preferences. (You can ask at the start of the game and have a toggle in the preferences)

Thanks for the in depth response. I'm learning more about this ample world of NTR. As much as I think Taylor (the sister) is very sexualy liberated with her body, she usually ends up in sex situations to get out of trouble, which I find works well for the character. I'll give some examples that take place in Ep. II.

-Taylor is casually taking a walk at the beach. A couple of guys approach her saying they're "the butt inspectors" and her thong is dangerously deep up her ass crack. Not being very bright, she comes with them to a secluded place and is tricked into getting naked, and then she is tricked into a threesome.

-After the FMM threesome, Taylor goes looking for a police officer to report the fake inspectors, and he mistakes her for a hooker. He threatens to take her to jail for prostitution, and offers her a way to get off the hook: a blowjob. Taylor agrees.

In all these "interludes" Taylor is always alone, and never tells MC about her sexual misfortunes. (The day night cycle makes it impossible for both characters to be together). Is this still NTR? Should this be avoidable?

Yes, that's what I have drafted so far. Have a sort of switch that avoids that path, and takes MC and his sis to a no-NTR path would be nice. Her adventures while MC is away hunting bad guys will have to be different, with more "80s teen comedy" with lots of nudity and no sex.

So far I have some ideas, and would like to present them here as alternate routes for the non-NTR crowd:

-Taylor goes to a bikini contest, she is shown naked getting in the dressing room, some girls comment on her ample attributes. One male or female judge makes an advance on her promising her the victory, but she says no, as her feelings and virtue belong to his brother.

- Taylor goes to the beach and plays a volleyball game with some local girls. After winning or losing they invite her over and one of them makes a move on her. She refuses.

-Taylor goes to a secluded part of the beach, strips to work on her tan and someone steals her clothing. She must now go back to the beach hiding for a group of people protesting against nude beachgoers.

-Taylor meets a group of old hippies at the beach, they sing songs and teach her to consume some sort of psychotropic drug flower. The visions show her having sex with her true love, MC, probably foreseeing she getting pregnant/giving birth from her brother.

Some of the most recent comments are reasonable, mature and respectful and that's what made me engage in a more open way with them. I don't think having a mod erasing the comments I dislike is something I would do, because that would be censoring and that's something I don't believe in. That said, I think the game could benefit from having both NTR and non NTR content, as it would draw a more diverse crowd and financially that's good for the project. While I will stay true to my vision, I also need to make sure to listen to all parties involved as long as they conduct themselves respectfully of myself and others. Thank you for your comment.

I'm not even anti-NTR, but I do understand why people could be completely turned off if and when it happens. And if you want your game to have a broader appeal it's one of the few things you just have to deal with as a dev. You don't need to please everyone. NTR is just one of those fetishes that is either a complete turn on or off. Feet would be another of those. Both are very popular but some people are very turned on by feet, others completely turned off. Just easier to have an option in there to not have a footjob and keep the option to have a feetjob in for the feet perverts.

For me I hope MC starts stealing some girls, especially the high-class ones. Love me some good netori.
