Why did it take us so long?
Okay, apart from obvious issues that we had, like war and all, we actually been really busy past few months doing much more than you probably expected of us. I would lie if I say, that it was easy to remain productive, because it wasn't, and from time to time we honestly lost all motivation to continue our work. Not because we don't want to do it, no, but because it felt pointless. Even with all support you people showed us, with all the money we're making, we're still stuck in the warzone, constantly running to the basement hoping not to get bombed. It sucks. But we knew that sometime bad things has to end, and when they do, we better have something to kickstart ourselves real hard.
All this time, past six months or so, we've been secretly working on one of the biggest update Academy34 even had - complete overhaul. No, it's not coming with Sombra's update, but it's coming nonetheless. But what does it actually mean? It's simple: Academy goes big. We're going to update EVERYTHING that we think doesn't match our current standards: Backgrounds, storylines, scenes, sprites, you name it. And if you think that it sounds like a lot of work - that's because it is. We didn't want to announce it too early, when we still had nothing to show, but also didn't want to keep it all secret until the very end, because we want to give you something to hype for.
To put it simply - we're making this game something it should've been from the start. Well, if we had experience back then, that is.
What you should expect from this update? Here's a small list of additions:
- A LOT of new locations, like unique classes for each subject, rooms for student activities, green house at the top of main building, toilets for all your dirty and perverted things, cafeteria and kitchen, rooms for each Overwatch character you can interact with, teacher lounges, offices, gym, locker rooms, etc. So, basically, tons of new areas for you to explore, as well as fully updated and upgraded old locales.
- Updated and expanded prologue, that will properly teach you all necessary mechanics, meet you with the main cast of characters, show you around and more.
- Updated storylines for Tracer and Mercy, which will expand their story, but won't change their initial character too much. Except the part, where Tracer is completely straight out of the blue - that will be cut. She's bi-curious, going through her own personal journey, trying to figure herself out. And Mercy, well, she's even more tired and chaotic, than before. In a good way, probably.
Updated Academy yard.
- Music! We hired a musician to help us with writing original OST for the game, which includes unique tracks for each character and their storylines, tracks for scenes, locations, even for Sombra's shady shop.
- Revamped interface. Not much to say here. Current one sucks, so we're updating it, adding quality of life improvements and all that.
- Scene variations. Want to see girls in deferent outfits during scenes? No problem! You will be able to buy variations of scenes you unlocked through in-game shop.
- Speaking of in-game shop - we're updating that too! Sombra's market, in its current state is lacking, so we're gonna add more stuff into it, like scene variants we mentioned, as well as ability to buy spy cameras to set up, blackmail Sombra gathered, and some other bonus content.

- Proper usage of stats! Yes, we know, current system sucks, so instead of completely cutting it out, we found a different usage for it: Once you complete someone's storyline, you will be able to unlock number of additional scenes, some of which will require you to have certain stats. Some of those scenes will also have some short stories tied to them, so it won't feel like a simple grind-lock for the sake of grind-lock.
- Student clubs! To add some life into the Academy building, we're adding some after-class activities you, as well as other students, will be able to participate in. Gardening club in the green house, bookworm club in library, roleplaying club in the literature class, club for anime lovers, bodybuilding club and more! Basically, they all are optional storylines you can play through to meet new characters, or grow closer with ones you already met.
- Steam-friendly version of our game! Once hands of our artists will get free, we'll start updating characters to look... different. As you probably guessed, we can't just release game with characters we borrowed from Overwatch, so we're gonna fix that by making them original, yet familiar. That won't affect Patreon-version though.
- And more!

Now, to other news. Yes, that's still not all of them.
As you probably know by now, Young and Naughty got married. Took us long enough, but we got there. No huge ceremonies and stuff, because we left it for after war ends, so we can gather all our team to celebrate together. But did you know that Cipheos got married too?! Yes, we were shocked just as well. Seems like we're all grownups here now, feels weird.
But the coolest thing that happened: Young got his permit to leave! That means our core team will finally be able to work from somewhere safe really damn soon. When we finish with Sombra's update, we'll start packing our stuff right away. Right now our plan is to leave Ukraine sometime around mid-August, we'll keep you posted how it's gonna go. Hopefully, really damn well.
Getting necessary documents to leave country proven to be royal pain the the butt, but it was all worth it. That's actually one of major reasons why we had to constantly delay the update: Young had to travel back to his hometown to do all this, where he spend almost three weeks of constant bureaucracy and stress. Naughty accompanied him, because mental support is a must. Also, we just wanted to visit our parents, maybe for the last time in a long while.
And that's it, all of the news we had. Quite a hefty post, isn't it? Just as we like 'em.

First off, congrats on getting married! Secondly, it's awesome that you guys are finally able to get to a truly safe location. Thirdly, super awesome to see this game finally reaching its true potential. I feel like this is one of the best porn parody games I've ever played, and so the overhaul is well-deserved. Can't wait to see how this turns out!

like how the changes look that are show just sucks that i got to wait for the public release because im always so broke i cant even donate to be a patrion. it sucks but thats just part of life

It's nice that there's a new update, but I'm just glad you are all safe. That is obviously the most important thing. Congrats on the marriages too!
