I made it to play, but I didn't continue because there were other games in front of me.
No clue, but it always is a bit annoying to see this game pop up in the "latest updates" and it's just another Patreon update that the majority of the thread won't see for another month

I don't even mind that anymore. But not even the HD version of the public one? But I'm getting biased because Blaze struck a nerve, rekindled some long forgotten memories so I'm less prone to bash on the devs

No one, A-34 not only has characters inspired by known franchises but also features a substantive amount of original work and characters wholly created by the team.
I like Blaze Mothra and Luka and i love Andre lets hope we see more original characters in the future.
Some of them are, and we will be revisiting existing scenes to add animations to older updates as well. Though, given that animation are a bitch to make, it'll take some time.
I do get that they are changing the characters to try and avoid copyright, but the sheer amount of porn overwatch has inspired kinda points to blizzard not trying to take it down, or at least change the opening art at least, sombra and tracer are both completely different then advertised

Fan art is somewhat protected in the sense it's made for personal enjoyment. The problem comes from people try to make money, which using patreon/subscribestar comes under, and the fact that a game like this employs multiple people (yes, there's a team of devs), you start getting into a dodgier area concerning copyright.
It's mostly coming down to like, if you're changing the characters to not resemble overwatch characters...is this an overwatch game?
Absolutely, the main issue is getting money from a derivative work. Even if it's a parody. But it mostly depends on how much assholes are the IP holders, because you can see SU doing just fine and we can say it's the biggest and most well known game based on a very large almost titanic IP. But they're busy doing their own stuff to be bothered by a porn game that they certainly can't exploit. On the meantime Blizzard I doubt would go into legal grounds beyond a C&D, it can be enough to hinder their income which is kinda important since it became their livelihood.
If things were different they could turn to another payment processor... Thing is the other processors aren't and option right now.

This is something that repeatedly comes up in this kind of topic, changing the payment processor would do nothing except hamper the developer. Not everyone would follow to another processor, especially as several of them aren't globally recognised or accessible from other countries.
I mean, subscribestar has become a heaven for loli and other taboo games with good success. But it's Russian based and this guy's are basically the opposite

The reason we don't post HD public versions for free — our servers simply can't survive the amount of 1gb downloads we receive with every public release.
