The I5-9400F doesn't have AV1 support so it gets done by software rendering, causing it too look a lot worse. Nor do I think that it even has H265 support either, but the reason why mine probably looks better is because of HW Acceleration so when i go to handbrake something, being on linux AV1 H265 and H264 all have a AMD VCE:

It renders out faster as well. But yours will probably look worse until you get something that can actually decode the video with hardware instead of software.
I see, I was keen on buying the RX 6900xt but the internet says it doesn't have HW based Encoding. what Graphics card do you have? Also im curios as to how much fps do you get on AV1 (on your speed preset? resolution?)

You can do AV1 decode but not encoding on it, you can do H265/HVEC on it. I have a 7900 XTX and the fps depends on res, but it ranges from 700fps to 250fps depends from res. I use speed because I don't notice and issue or any quality loss.

Wow, that's an insane amount of fps, my Cpu barely reaches 5 - 20 fps on speed and 1 - 5 fps on slow and the outcome is really~ bad compared to what it should be, it's blurry and low res, 1080p feels like 720p, anyway thank you for your time MyAnonymousFriend. time to go work my ass off

Yeah... He always (well almost) publish video in two version with different BR. Dunno really why.
Sorry about the wrong delay had BIOS issues that completely fucked my PC, but here's the full encode reduction reduced to 8.7GBs compared to 33.9GBs

Probably no reason for me to do AV1 because of the res the videos use. It's uploading now and should be done in about 15 minutes.
