I mean, he is right. I thought so, too. And even on a threat that has only 6 pages, there are people, that are to lazy (or stupid) to look (or search) for the save file to unlock the gallery.
The game is still a work in progress, so it can still get better.
Even if you die one time, it gives you a fleshed out losing scene, which is skippable, and you can just start the level you lost on again. The enemys spawn slightly different.
I lost on 2 levels, too. But next time I got luckier with the vent-monsters and just finished it.
And it is amazing, that we get a more western-styled side-scroller, that is kinda like those japanese ones.

these are some pretty jank hitboxes. and these enemies are far too tanky. you'd expect the fat students to take like 6 hits, but the rest should really go down in 2 and the dogs in 1....

if you want better escape side scrollers than this, there's plenty. should just grab the full save and avoid the trouble

Meanwhile, the giant flying skull-headed snake monster that looks like the only definitively supernatural creature DOES go down in one hit. It was actually hard to get attacked by one, because I kept having to attack other monsters and would accidentally kill the snake.

Have to agree with some other comments. The ingame art is good, the animations have creativity and it's nice for once to not have to play japanese pixel games. The cutscene art though... In some places it's fine, in others not so much, the creativity is still there but some parts literally look still work in progress.

And yes, the sound is absolutely horrendous in 90% of the animations and should be redone. The dark skinned teacher literally sounds like a crying dog

Now, I'm not looking at what you're looking at, so I could be wrong, but --and I hate to tell you this-- I don't think that's "lag." The game was just made to be slow because ... zombies are slow, I guess?
Now, if you are experiencing some actual lag, than it may be something on your end. I don't see any like choppy sudden movements from the animation "catching up" or anything, and my computer is like 10 years old. Granted I have a graphics card, but that is also quite old at this point. My system was originally installed with Windows 7, and I got the card not long after.

Sadly, you can't.
It indeed can be frustratingly annoying the more you play. xD

It's both kinda annoying (it's ok for a title screen I guess) and too loud at the sane time.

The game is great, at first it seems difficult, but then you get into it and already feel the timing and build an approach for each enemy, sometimes it is even tactically advantageous to get captured so that a crowd of zombies crowds around and during the breakout from the capture you knock them all down at once.

Ideally, it would be enough for the defeat scene at each level to be its own, I hope this is planned in the future?

And the patch with Guro would be the perfect cherry on the cake, but this is just a dream.
