Last weekend, I replayed the game with the vanilla route. Previously, I preferred the NTR route over the OG version, but tin vanilla the OG game felt better. Without an RPG system, the game felt too simple, lacking epic boss fights and meaningful rewards. I'm not asking for the RPG system to be brought back either, just have some personal opinions.
In NTR RPGM games I enjoy, combat is usually minimal or skipped entirely (like Hentai Chronicles, Boy Hero Ken). RPGM works well for puzzles, mysteries, and hidden scenes that enrich the experience.
For traditional hero-style stories, a well-built combat system still fits—The Last Sovereign is a good example. The OG game's RPG elements were impressive, with lots of items, monsters, and challenging puzzles. Personally, I don’t enjoy spending hours grinding, fighting bosses, and solving puzzles just to unlock NTR scenes. But I must admit, after overcoming all those hardships, having a fivesome with four beautiful girls while the cuckolded guy curls up covering his ears—that felt pretty intense. A cheat switch for easy battles in NTR route would’ve been great.
New devs often cram too many ideas into one game, leading to incomplete or weak results. Multiple routes are fine, but there should be a strong main story and thoughtful feature balance. Each route needs more than just sex scenes—context matters. I really appreciate how both devs handled details and dialogue to fit each route’s tone.
