where is ur compressed link ?It's been way before that even
Also using my compressed version and the bugfix I've had no issues, probably because the images/videos are so much more optimized
It was the alpha that leaked, I made a bugfix right before the public came out (which ended up being the public release after all) and it ran better. I'm not sure it will work for everyone, but I didn't have any crashes, lockups, or bugs, but I didn't really fine comb it.where is ur compressed link ?
I am just winding what specs your computer has as I had issues on my laptop it would lag at first but once animations started it was fine that was on a laptop with a RTX 2060 mobile I had none of theses issues on my PC with a 5700x3d and a RTX3070.I just tried this excellent game for the first time, and I had to leave some comments to share how impressive nearly everything about this game is.
- The MC is a breath of fresh air. Confidence. Agency. Masculinity. Intelligence. Self-Control. What a fun and interesting character to finally get to play in an Adult VN.
- Solid worldbuilding (the gates and ranks remind me of Solo Leveling a lot), with a compelling storyline and interesting side characters.
- The profile screens showing the LI's kinks and sexuality are a great tool for building anticipation for future encounters with them, and they have the potential to become an awesome and fun gameplay mechanic too.
- The music, visuals, animations, and editing are all very professional and high quality, and they work well together to draw the reader/player in to the story and the world.
- Lots of attractive and sexy LI's, without going overboard in the number thrown at the player (so far at least).
- Good use of visual storytelling, with a lot of "show don't tell", instead of throwing "wall of text" conversations at the player that ruin the pacing. That's another "plus" that sets this apart from nearly every other VN out there.
Basically, I don't remember any other game apart from Depraved Awakening that drew me in this fast, and left me wanting more so early into the story.
As great as it is, I do have a number of smaller criticisms:
- The DAZ model chosen for the Nina character is very overused and way too familiar.
- There are very few choices for the player, and none that make any impact so far.
- There were a few typos, grammar mistakes and misspellings.
- The animations are very processor intensive, and initial rendering causes them to fast forward jarringly when they are first shown, making sex scenes look robotic and unreal for the first second or two.
- There is only a single sex scene so far and no climax is shown for the MC in it, which is a huge missed opportunity (seriously, painting an LI with your cum/deciding to creampie her/etc is pretty much the best part of any erotic scene in a VN). And while I understand that the MC is supposed to have strong self-control, an MC that doesn't appear to have any desires or feel any pleasure is not very interesting for players to inhabit in the long run.
- With the MC being so powerful and confident right off the bat, having the story show character growth for him could be challenging (admittedly, this is not a criticism pretty much any other VN would run into, but this is one of the few with an actual solid story alongside the sex). However, given that the antagonists and other challenges shown so far actually feel significant and threatening, and because of the way the MC is acquiring new powers through sex, plus his clear goal of wanting to protect so many other people that he cares about, I think that a good execution of those elements of the story should end up with the MC going through a satisfying arc.
That's about all for a quick review/bit of feedback. I didn't get any of the crashes others are mentioning during my initial playthrough, but on reloading a save and using the mouse wheel to move around (to refresh my memory about a few events in the game) I did get it to hang completely. An Alt + F4 was required to close it, because I couldn't Alt + Tab to get Task Manager to appear (apps running in Fullscreen mode like that sometimes prevent anything else from being seen if they hang, unfortunately).
i know we live in an oustanding world but not everybody have the same quality setup to playing video games at those rates,...and whe are talking about a porn game not even a action one,....so i try really hard to not delte the entire build, bcs the dev should think about wich audience target will be playing this and cutting your fanbase bcs he want to buld something crazy[amzing but still crazy]dont do any good to "reach all audiences"but if he goes only for the high end players that have a setup of 1200ussplus[a asus gaming tuff cost that in my countryand not even the med class and a 2023 series] so yeah i cant see this amzing game reaching all what deservesit,....dev should do a low end quality build,...sadly is still a must in this era....So basically, it's not even a RAM leak that's fucking up the playback of this Sex scene...
It's that the Video Quality is absurd... 4K resolution @120fps? Talk about overkill... most phones don't stand a chance.
I won't open up that debate about how much data the Human Eye can actually process, but outside of Competitive gaming, casual playback of video doesn't need more than 60FPS, especially considering not many have 120hz Monitors to match this rate. Worth noting alot of people opt to play Ren'Py® games, because they can't play AAA. So you really limit your player-base with crazy high video like this, just sayin'.
If you offered lowered versions like OppaiMan™ does, or a [Low Quality] toggle like NLT™ does it would be fine.
My computer setup is fairly old, but I do have a somewhat higher-than-average 32 GB of RAM (which probably helped a lot with this game), and I run it as "bare metal" as I can get. I built it up from parts, and I keep an eye on disabling every unneeded process that I find creeping in to the startup list. So it's remarkably stable. The processor is still an old i7-6700K (overclocked and water-cooled). The video card is an even older GTX 1070 (it still does the job).I am just winding what specs your computer has as I had issues on my laptop it would lag at first but once animations started it was fine that was on a laptop with a RTX 2060 mobile I had none of theses issues on my PC with a 5700x3d and a RTX3070.
Looks like the most recent fix in 3d worked. Looking forward to moreCrash happening for mine right after Sofia tries to regain control when MC visits. Enjoying the game so far, just a pity these technical things are getting in the way.
Please keep up the good work, developer, and hopefully these issues dont get in the way of your motivation to create an amazing game thanks for a great game thus far
it might be the CPU holding it back my laptop runs a 4 core 8T Ryzen 7 and this game chugged on it. though the game renders are in 4k it could be the GPU as the 1070 is getting quite old now I was previously running a PC with an i7-4790k (overclocked) and a GTX 1080 might even check how the game runs on it see if it struggles on that.My computer setup is fairly old, but I do have a somewhat higher-than-average 32 GB of RAM (which probably helped a lot with this game), and I run it as "bare metal" as I can get. If you're complaining on a phone and get potato playback then it's your issue, playing this on a PC worked fairly well, although the game started hanging on the Sofia scenes like everyone mentioned.Shit, what is the resolution of the renders here? 100500K?It lags terribly, why raise the quality of the renders like that, as if Full HD or 720 is not enough... Should I install this "miracle" on my PC to play it?LOL.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to my PC very often, and there are much more interesting games to play on a PC. I play all sorts of VNs and so on on a tablet and smartphone, except that I sometimes launch games on Unreal Engine on a PC.maybe you should ...
Unless they leaked one version and figured that was good enough for the freeloaders here. If I leaked it, which I didn't since I'm not a supporter, I'd upload once and let everyone get later versions, if there any, on their own.I'm sorry. It's too convenient that the "unfinished version" leaked, just to be able to point out that the finished version is already available if you just subscribe and pay $25/$50
Someone able to leak the preview version should have been able to leak the finished as well
The device is quite productive, yes it launches high-resolution renders with problems, but 95% of the games that I download from here work perfectly even on the emulator. I'm sure that most people don't care about high-resolution pictures, that's not what they're here for.If you're complaining on a phone and get potato playback then it's your issue, playing this on a PC worked fairly well, although the game started hanging on the Sofia scenes like everyone mentioned.
The game hasn't been released publicly yet, until that happens the dev doesn't owe any non-supporters jack or squat.. I doubt many dev's would update a pirate site page with that info, but if you mean their Patreon page, then yes this is a good idea.Cool.
Hmm...I would like to suggest maybe adding a message on your project start pages (do this for other sites as well...ASAP) that the present "V0.3a or b update" files posted here have NOT been updated to the fixed C version yet.
This could avoid the players who don't usually read the forms before trying your project for the first time. And instead of being left with a negative experience, which would create unnecessary negative PR for your ever changing and growing fan base. Which most dev's want it to always keep growing larger regardless if it's free or paid users. The larger the fan base size, the better it improves chances of gaining financial backers added to the pool of support.
Anyways thanks for all that you do.
Happy New Year.
Best Regards.
Agree with the comment about the end. Super mood killer. As mentioned, it's understood why it was added in, presumably shock value with a "and now we swap to the gate clearing in progress" type thought, but it brings the lighter mood crashing down. To the point of not sure if want to play, or support the dev, when the next release comes out if this is going to be the story-telling style.Me : "Oh cool, it's alive. And holy shit, old saves work!"
Also me after loading his old save : "...and I can't remember fuck-all. Oh well, guess I'll replay it. "
Anyway, nice work, dev. A few typos here and there, and by the way, Nina's title should be "Lightning Princess", not "Lightening Princess" - she zaps shit, she doesn't make it brighter or lighter (although unless the MC is a REALLY good healer her new title is going to be "Stumpy Undead" or something ).
The ending of the update was a bit jarring, though. There was no lead up. I mean, it's fine, it adds to the whole mystery about what's going on, I guess, but the players are left going "Wtf is going on all of a sudden?". Shame about Lyra too. Maggie and Nina might be salvagable, but I'm assuming decapitation isn't something you "heal" .
Hoping / assuming we get more of the lovely Talia from the wine shop as well. She's on the banner after all.
As an aside, I got a crash during the car ride with Sofia, but I'm assuming that the ram bug (which is apparently fixed in the .3C version) is responsible. Restarting the game resulted in no issues afterwards.
Wut? It has to....maybe check Patreon firstThe game hasn't been released publicly yet
