Huh. This looks pretty interesting. Totally unplayable on android using joiplay unfortunately, so hoping to see an android port soon.

Anyone know if certain settings in joiplay can make this work?

Works just fine for me on Joiplay.
Android 12, Joiplay 1.20.550, Renpy 7.1.3 / 7.3.5 / 7.4.11 / 7.7.1 / 8.1.3 / 8.2.3 plugins.

Under Renpy Settings in Joiplay I only have 'HW Video', 'Model-Based Rendering' and 'Recompile Scripts' turned on.

I did get one error about a missing image when trying to go to the preferences screen from the main menu, but I was able to safely continue on using the ignore button. Once in game you can access the preferences screen from the menu just fine.
