Age of Consent (general) in USA

There is a problem with the map.
Texas is represented correctly the age of consent is 17. However, there is a romeo and Juliet law in Texas which allows Teens under the age with in 3 years age of each other to have sex. A 19 year old could date a 17 year old, 18->16 ... There are aggravated sexual assault of a minor is 13 and below regardless. While those numbers of above may seem like 2 years, understand 3 years and a day is 1 day to much!
North Caroline shows 16. The only problem is that is with the Juliet law. If you are 18 and younger and have sex with a 16 year old you are fine. But if you are over 18 per the law you broke the law and just had sex with a minor and committed statutory rape.
I'm not going to go through and check each state. Whoever did this failed. I reconginzed the issue because I lived in NC and have family there and currently live in Texas. I would say it is easy enough to look up the laws but clearly whoever made the map failed.
Use a state published website listing the penal code. Each state has one. Here is a list.

I'm speechless... but it's not clear to you, you wrote everything right (at least I think) and in any case my criticism is not addressed to you. I'm Italian and I didn't know all these American rules, which I find absurd to say the least... it is true that age can define a minor from an adult, but below the threshold of 18 (at least that's how it works here) they are all minors and not it is tolerable that there may be adults who have sex with minors, one does not "count" how many years the two are divided. It being understood that I don't want to trigger any controversy, I just wanted to have my say on a country that has laws that are very far from my thinking and not knowing them, made me stay a little "surprised".
By here do you mean Italy? I used to live there 3 years. Current age law there is 14. 13 if the person is with in 3 years of their age. The age of consent raises to 16 in Italy if the person has some sort of influence over them such as a teacher or boss...

Just a tip, but the ONLY people that look up and talk about "Age of Consent" are - how should I put this - white van enthusiasts.
It's never a good look for any adult to want to be a legal expert on this.

Most age of consent laws in most states and countries are meant for teenagers. They do not apply to adults or anyone more than a few years older than the person giving consent if they are a minor.
Most US states limit the age difference between the two parties having sex to less than 2-4 years. So while "age of consent" may mean a 16 year old can legally consent to sex, if the person doing it with them is more a handful of years older, that person will still get arrested for sex with a minor.

Also, here in the USA we have places where, while things are not legal, they are also not illegal. Curiously, them may include bestiality, incest and prostitution. Although over the past few decades many of these vague states have been tightened or closed as each state, or their internal counties and communities, may have their own variations on such issues.
Indeed, even corporations have rules based on their boards beliefs.
Back to the topic, and while veracity of data is always fluid, most is sourced and can be challenged on Wikipedia, the data is laid out below. 18 is not set in stone, it is just that 18 is the age in California where most TV is made and TV sets a standard.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg stated in a hearing, "No girl under the age of 14, unless married, should engage in sex." This led many to believe she wanted to revert the USA to 19th century limits which ranged from 7-12 in states with age of consent limits.

I'm tempted to answer that what you missed is the Law of your own country.
In Italy the age of consent to have sex with an adult is 14, raised to 16 if the adult have authority over the minor. And there's a Romeo and Juliet exception for 13yo.

The age of consent have no upper limitation, and it's precisely why most of those who, accordingly to you, necessarily own a white van, don't really like the concept as it. The notion of Romeo and Juliet exception is the only case where the difference of age matters, and it apply below the age of consent.

Note the three last words, that aren't at all near to "under the condition that there's a small difference in age if one of the two partners is minor".

Wikipedia has lots of stuff wrong. There is no requirement for expertise in the field for the person to edit something or create an entry. They often take stuff down because of political and social bias.
My point was the source simply wasn't credible and to look at the actual laws if you are really interested.
Art 609 I named above is from Italy's penal code. That's at the national level.
So arguing with me about it is pointless. Talk to your politicians.
What you might have is smaller jurisdictional laws such as county and city laws that could come into affect.

My father was military and then I also went in the military. I've spent 13 years throughout Europe. Most of that time was in Germany, UK, and Italy.

I'm old enough so a 18yo could be my grand-child (add 3 years for my son and I to be fathers at legal age), and once again I don't get what you want to tell us.
At what time have it crossed your mind that we don't suddenly forget the definition of "age of consent", nor what is the said age of consent in our country, when we age ? Or that we want to refresh our memory, precisely because we have children.

My whole point is that this seems like a weird topic for a porn game site and it seems like a gross thing to be caring about if you yourself aren't the one who is a minor concerned with giving consent.
Oh, I believe pedos can be women.
I just also know that society, in general, doesn't care about minor males being with adult women to the same degree it does the reverse. That's a whole separate discussion.

Sorry if I found that to be WTF, random, and weird. "Concerned parents" aren't the ones I see always discussing age of consent on the internet, nor is it the "consenting minors" I see discussing it.
I don't give a shit what anyone does as long as it isn't hurting anyone else and everyone is consenting.
