Hello everyone,
I’ve recently started working on a big scene for Episode 2. While the rendering itself doesn’t take too long, the animation can be tricky. It’s not always clear what can and can’t be animated, but one way or another, all scenes will be animated since that’s a key feature of the game.
The rest of the scenes aren’t very long, though they may still take time. As of now, about 20–30% of Episode 2 is complete. My goal is to reach around 60–70% by the end of the month. On top of that, good news—Sherine’s voice has also been improved a bit.
On another note, I’ve decided to remove the $5 Patreon tier. I appreciate everyone who has supported the project, but in practice, the small amount that remains after Patreon’s cut, transfers, and taxes just isn’t worth the extra hassle. Current patrons at that tier will remain until the end of the month, after which it will be discontinued.
Another piece of good news: there’s been a nice influx of people on Steam. I can’t really track all the traffic, but it’s definitely a positive sign—especially since I basically just re-released Episode 1. Let’s hope it keeps going that way!
On a final note: Episode 1 doesn’t reveal much about the overall game direction. But believe me, Episode 2 will give you a much clearer picture. That’s exactly what I’m aiming for. Sherine will have a clearer sense of her tasks and troubles. It won’t be explained outright, but it will become quite obvious as the story unfolds.
