Did you enable NSFW content? There's a way to do so with a .txt file the game has to recognize in its folders, an older post has a small guide on it, nothing complicated.

I started the game but I could not find out how to progress through the map or interact with anything. I know there should be other parts to the map, and a gun shop, but I could not leave the starting farm area. There were also items on the ground that looked like gun magazines, but I could not find any way to interact with them outside of picking them up and dropping them. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but could someone point out how you're supposed to access different parts of the map or how to access the gun shop?

This is taxing the GPU in a very significant way for what it is - harder than most anything comparable, right from the start screen...
GPU utilization at the start screen was 83-84%, starting the game reduced it to 19 - 30%
Fairly odd...

Look into changelog. The game isn't abandoned obviously as the latest version was released 2 weeks ago.
