not for accessing the site, however a lot of titles with certain tags got shadow banned and you need jap vpn to get access, this always due the visa/mastercard war.. idk anyway wha'ts the dial with them right now, last time I've heard that there was an issue cause the credits company were saying they have to follow certain laws however they don't have any obbligation (or rights) to respect any other laws outside usa, that obv created chaos and these companies are loosing market shares.
It's the stupid behavior too many american have (not all at all of course). But some want to impose their moral view on other countries and dictate on how things should be, despite the fact that we these other country have different moral standard.
It's really imperialistic, authoritarian and sadly, it work most of the time.
Recently, we have the same problem with the manga industry as a whole because of some stupid texas law. The whole world shouldn't change because some conservatives decide something in another part of the world, that's ridiculous.
Anyways i like the idea behind the game but the execution isn't that good imo, the gameplay felled outdated (it is in a way). I remembered playing some of those, it's been a while : )
