It was never "about to release", but it should release sometime this year.Whatever happened to their new game? It was about to be released and then over a year of silence on it?
Starke being Starke, hate him or love him for it.
That's awesome that you are working on Journey Abroad and Bloodlust. Glad that upcoming games are not dead. The new projects will attract new and old fans. But what is the point of simultaneously creating a remastered version and rewriting the same game on RenPy? The game's 'graphics' still, despite being several years old, rival the best. Anyone who was supposed to play this game has already played it . Anyone who sees RenPy version will say, 'Whatever. I've already played that". If people were complaining about RPGM engine then it would make sense to create future games in RenPy but not taking time rewriting the same game but in different engine. Was the decision made considering the opinions of a few fans, or were there any surveys and studies conducted to gauge how many people would support this decision? It was never "about to release", but it should release sometime this year.
But it did get hyped up with a lot of previews last year.
- The patreon page for that game is also inactive as it have been since it was created.
- That said, the team have a handful of projects going on simultaneously which slows things down a bit.
Journey Abroad(game you refer too)
Fleeting Iris Remaster
Fleeting Iris Renpy remake
Shota Patch for FI
Christmas Patch for FI
Bloodlust
So its different people on the team making each version, one will not delay the other, lets start with that. Its actually a modder here on F95 working with Starke to bring the Renpy version to life. That's awesome that you are working on Journey Abroad and Bloodlust. Glad that upcoming games are not dead. That was for the tech video they made about the game. It showcased their new sprite style, the main menu, a few songs made for the game, dialogues, some animations, and primarily, maps and mechanics. Starke seemed particularly proud of certain stairs at the time.
The remastered version hasn't been updated yet, so how can Ren'Py include content that hasn't even been created? Is the RenPy version going to have the same content as the Remastered version?
What the fuck? Then what's the point of creating a RenPy version and a Remaster separately? Heaven Studios have no business sense.Remaster version hasn't even been remastered how is RenPy gonna have content that hasn't been made yet?
From a business perspective, they can sell a Ren'Py version, release a remaster, and subsequently offer a Ren'Py-optimized remaster. But you're right, you're the one who knows business. What the fuck? Touche, perhaps "no business sense" was the wrong phrase. From a business perspective, they can sell a Ren'Py version, release a remaster, and subsequently offer a Ren'Py-optimized remaster. But you're right, you're the one who knows business.
In this thread alone, search for occurrences of the words 'Ren'Py,' 'renpy,' and all poorly written variations, and determine the total number of matches you can find. Remind me again how they're wrong and you're right.
"Just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it ain't so".
It's their vision, you know no one is forcing you to pay for their stuff or play it, right?Touche, perhaps "no business sense" was the wrong phrase.
All I see is that the developers have so little creativity that they can only produce one game and milk their supporters while they make "remakes" and "remasters" on the same game. That's good business![]()
True ending is hella disappointing in this game thoughThe first game where i actually went for the true ending
Eh, dunno, i liked it because it was light !True ending is hella disappointing in this game though![]()
To each his own, I thought it was very short but I respect your opinion.Eh, dunno, i liked it because it was light !
