I downloaded the 1.08 version from the first page (PIXELDRAIN). It says v1.08, but after extracting
and running it shows 1.07b on the title.
Don't know which one is correct?

Yes, you have to see some events in that route for story/plot purposes. You don't have to start the lewd events related to that route tho, unless you want to.
