This naming-system/release-schedule is like girl math. "If I cancel an unreleased game and just rebrand it as the sequel then I made 2 games for the price of 0".

For those wondering, the original Alchemy Quest was a Flash game, hence it being cancelled. AQ2 is effectively a remake in an engine that's still going to be accessible a few years from now, with a better UI and less frustrating minigames.
If true, this should go into the OP

Seems like an oversight. I have max equip load and have basically made it impossible to progress.
Also progress in general just feels painfully slow.
Anyone know where the save file is? I'm just gonna edit the shit out of this.
just got through all existing content in like 1hr, it's not worth the hassle of even importing a save in it's current state. wait for some updates imo

The absolute state of western gamedevs... the never-ending development cycle, version 0.0001 of release, or abandonment. Maybe i just don't notice finished games as well as i do with unfinished, or something.
This is F95Zone though. All but a handful are amateur devs doing this in their spare time, often with little to no training, in between their jobs as a horse inseminator or Arby's clerk. (Think about that the next time you get the Horsey sauce). I wouldn't really use this as a basis to compare against professional East Asian dev-companies, even of the indie variety.

This game needs to allow you to unequip gear, not just swap it out for other gear. And, while I was swapping stuff, I got my equip load to 110/65 (overburdened), which should not happen. It also locks all your gear so you cannot change anything afterwards.
You can (sort of) unequip gear, if you drag it to the swirly black hole looking thing at the bottom it'll unequip it - but it will also destroy the item. Definitely needs a proper unequip function though. And pretty much everything on the UI is in dire need of a tooltip!

Naming and balance shenanigans aside there is a foundation here that I'd like to see developed. Some of the art is legitimately great and I'd like to see some systems expanded on.
I'll joke for now, but I could see this as something that I'd toss a couple bucks at.

How soon a patch arrives that allows for unequipping gear when a driving point for advertisement is the different costumes will definitely set the tone for development.

When I broke the weight allowance, even that did not work.

And annoyingly, the devs are also disincentinized to offer alternative payment options, even though single payment "full purchases" are quick and simple to set up on itch.io. Many of these games I'd gladly pay a flat one-time price for permanent access to latest version of, exactly the same way it works when buying early access games on Steam, but they refuse to make that option available because they are perfectly aware that they will lose the monthly income from the drooling morons on Patreon.

I usually respect the hustle when people find ways to separate suckers from their money, but in this case these suckers are preventing legitimate business models from becoming viable. They are directly responsible for making scams more profitable than ethical practices.
There's really no winning, unfortunately. When payment is a single purchase model, you get shovelware designed to look pretty while taking the least work to produce. Porno games on steam are an endless stream of this crap. Why make something good that takes actual work and talent when you can just shovel out garbage with screenshots that attract the crowd of drooling gooners that don't think twice? Tarnished your reputation? Just start a new company under a different name!

Most you can really do as a consumer is give money to projects you actually respect. Vote with your wallet, even if it's just a drop in the ocean of fomo jizz.

Maybe the fact the engine it was made on died before the project got finished should go in there as a warning lol.

there are a few problems I have with this game...
1. The shop is way out of balance, charges double the price and buys for half or less for items
2. Battles are horrible, unless you have a mix of potions
3. If you get past level 4 it forces you into battle and you lose all your shit.
Frankly this game is pissing me off, I've tried to stick it out and play it but I've gotten to day 10 and can barely get anything done
