Unfortunately cast isn't all female in High Life. It's a good choice though (If they can sort out their communication problems they'd be set)
Absolutely. But this seems to be an issue that comes up a fair bit in the threads - and not just from gay and lesbian players.
We uploaders can't make new tags, but use existing tags only. Only staff members can create new tags. You have to go to the requesting section, and request new tags. Once your request is approved, then we can use the new tags. It seems like all the staff members have to vote for your request to be approved. So unless the tag you request is very demanding, its acceptance rate is really low. so my suggestion is to have a brainstorm session in this thread or in another thread, and ask people out what new tags they like to see, then pick some of the popular ones out of them, and have a poll, then request from staff to add the highest voted tags to the forum. so we can use them when posting a new game. I am not sure this procedure is exactly going to work, but I feel like it has a high chance of being success.Absolutely. I wonder if a solution could be an additional 'Genre Tag' category to go on top of the content tags. That could be done as a form that uploaders fill out when they post a game - with only one response allowed per question. Suggested options:
Game Engine: e.g. Renpy, Unity
Choice: e.g. VN, dialogue choice, interactive choice, sandbox
Visuals: e.g. Hentai, Cartoon, Daz3D, Honey Delight, Text-Based
Animations: Yes/No
Story Genre: e.g. SciFi, Fantasy, School, Suburban
Sexual Genre: e.g. Romance, Vanilla, Incest, BDSM, Harem
Primary Orientation: e.g. Lesbian, Gay, Bi, TG/TS/Futa, Pansexual
Sexual Content: e.g. None, Nudity, Softcore, Hardcore
I think that could help eliminate a lot of disappointment from fans who discover that the lesbian tag only refers to one scene in a 5GB game, or that a v0.4 still hasn't managed to get so much as a side-boob.
That was very much my thinking - and I wondered what you and everyone else on the thread thought about the concept of an additional tier of 'Genre Tags' like this before getting specific about which to include. I'm not suggesting new tags within the current system - but a whole new system to be added as a separate top line, without making any alterations to the existing content tags.
You just need to be cautious that you don't over saturate the tag system... Because if folks start seeing pages worth of tags for stuff being posted here, I'm sure they will grow to hate the tag system in general... Who wants to read through 5+ lines of tags, just because someone wanted a tag for every little thing... If you want to reveal more about your VN/Game, then do that in the description... The tag system is there for folks to easily see what "general" types of content the VN/Game will have so they can either avoid it, or seek it out... But if you start over diluting it with a ton of long winded and/or hyper specific key words, then it will become a deep sea of meaningless mumbo jumbo, that takes too long to read through...
